Dear Alias,I hate to say this, but next time you get public-type (hospitals, clinics, test centers) medical care (especially if you go through a hospital emergency ward), DO NOT GIVE YOUR REAL PHONE NUMBER. These scumbags specialize in a new kind of ambulance chasing, involving intimidating people to pay medical bills, even bills that have already been settled.

I just recieved a call from this number, which I promptly called back, some guy named Michael picked up, very rude. Asked me for my name which I refused to tell him, in which he replied that we cant talk since its a personal matter and he has to know my name. I told him that he called me, so he should know my name atleast. Either way, I wasnt going to tell him my name. He's like okay, well we'll keep calling, in that case. I'm like sure, I'll just block this number. In which he replied, okay, bye and hung up.

Be sure not to confuse Pete's "annualreport dot com) with "freecreditreport dot com", which is NOT FREE. They give you one free report then slam your credit report (that you must provide to get the first free report) for monthly dues forever. I think they're up to about $19.95 per month. IT IS A SCAM IN ITSELF. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE FRIENDLY ADS ON TV. Because we live in a free country, they can get away with this. READ THE SMALL PRINT before you give them any personal info, especially your credit card.

if they were able to PROVE a debt is owed, they WOULD NOT do business the way they do. They are just a bunch of low lifes.

Dear AnnoyedI hate to tell you this, but putting your name on the so-called "No Call List" is like listing your phone number in a directory available to all boiler room type scam phone callers...THEY BUY the list.

same here. I get the same call and the same Jenifer message in my cell phone about every two weeks for about a month now. I did have a past problem with nextel, but i'm not sure if its connected.

when yu dial these #s back a recording states # is not inservice or has been disconnected.

These people continue to call my house. I used to be polite. Now, I'm just plain nasty to them. When they really bug me, I call them back just to be a pain. They won't deliver a pizza.

These people call my cell phone daily. I do not answer because it is an 800 number and I don't accept calls from anyone I don't know. The leave several messages about a certain file number and say I must call them immediately and reference a particular number when I return the call. I have called the number back and given the reference number that they left on the message. They ask me my name which I will not give them (shouldn't they know my name if they are calling me)? I have entered my cell phone number on the national do not call list asked them not to continue calling me but they do day and night and its at my expense)since the are calling me on my cell phone using my minutes!!! What does one have to do to stop this nonsense??? Doesn't anyone collect money via the US Mail anymore?
