Uh no. I called chase and they 100% CONFIRMED THAT THIS IS LEGITIMATE. I had a check they wanted to verify. Period.
Called Chase at the number on the back of my card and verified that 800-362-1962 is not a Chase number and that there was no fraud alert on my account.
An automated message stated Chase Fraud like the previous messages. I called my the number on my card and through all the submenues and acct verification, they said they did not call. Hmmm. I did an online account transfer a day ago but everything transferred OK. Strange timing but I had to call for piece of mind. It could be legit and it could also be phishing. I have no pending withdrawals or strange activity so this call was phishing for me.
I was originally suspicious as well, but I called the number back. As others have noted, I never provide any personal information to an unknown number, but it turns out I didn't have to. To verify my identity, I was asked some multiple choice questions (term of my Chase auto loan, and the other car make/model I own - nothing a scammer could really use against me). The auto-system provided the correct answers among the choices. It then asked me to confirm I requested an online transfer to a non-Chase account, which I had.Seems legit to me. If they ask for any information you're uncomfortable providing, you can always hang up and call the number on the back of your card.
Just called Chase twice. First time they verified there was no holds on our account. We called back and spoke with another representative,. He verified our accounts were ok. When I gave him the 800 number, he said it was not a chase number.
This is a SCAM. FRAUD. Chase needs to do something about it. Unbelieveable that it can go on so long.

Because I didn't know who the caller was, I sent it to voicemail. The caller did not leave a message and hung up. I assumed it was another robo call and when I checked this site my assumption was confirmed.
