If were truly authorized by BC/BS to contact me, then they would know my name. They did not identify my in the message they left, so they are SPAMMING. The number they called me at is not one connected to my insurance account. Here's the text they left me:-------Hello, My name is Brenda I helped out the specialist here at Anthem. Blue Cross Blue Shield, we were calling you today In reference to a benefit that It is already part of the coverage no additional cost whatsoever. Please give us a call back. At your convenience. The toll free number, here (866) 461-1544. When calling back entered the extension 41141. And in the available associates will be happy to assist. Thank you so very much and have a wonderful evening.
Just to let you people know. MOST of your EMPLOYERS SELECT these resources for you to have access to! And if you call back and you treat the person who answers the with anything other than respect you dont deserve respect in return. These are working people just like yourself with family to take care of. remember that the next time to speak to someone like they are something on the botton of your shoe.
I am so happy these pages exist. I have been getting these calls quite a bit latley. I never return the call when they leave a message but I often get 800-405-1806 when I answer there seems to be a huge delay so I hang up! Don't give your information out!
Line dead, 800-405-1806, when I answered. I see it is a health data scammer based on other posts.
Started getting calls shortly after a mail piece arrived (that I ignored) for one of those nosy insurance company services that do nothing for you really. It might save the insurance company some money somewhere but for me it's just another inroad for them to be able to deny a claim down the road. Bugger off BCBS, an welcome to the blocked call list on the voip phone.
10/30/13 - Said they were from Blue Cross Blue Shield looking for Rhonda!!! Sounds scammy to me.
This is apparently a legit enterprise but I don't know what gives them the right to make these calls. They are the Blue Cross medical insurance and apparently they call policy holders to "remind" them about things like getting a flu shot, etc. I checked my account profile and I don't see where I allowed them to make such calls, so I don't know why they think I want to hear from them. I don't. I don't need my insurance company to remind me to go to the doctor. It is especially annoying because they often call at very irritating times, mostly mealtimes in the evening when my family finally has the chance to spend some time together and talk over everyone's day. I do not want marketers interrupting my family's meal times and anyone who does can be absolutely guaranteed that I will never, ever, be their customer.
I received the same call today, they are, well say they are registered nurses calling from home about your current surgery. They have all your information, medicine, etc but couldn't see nothing from August which I find suspicious. She gave me her name and number and said she will be calling back the day before my surgery. I'm calling bcbs now to speak with them about this. I don't feel comfortable.
