You should still call them back using the number on your card. That's why they keep calling, they want to talk to you about a charge. I am surprised they have not cut off your card!
Don't listen to this person. This is probably a legitimate fraud call. Call the Customer Service number on the back of your credit card but do not give your card number to anyone who calls you. I just had such a call and it was legitimate and I called the number on the card.
I missed the call, but as others have suggested, called the number on the back of my Chase card. Sure enough, two attempts to charge $8K to the card had been made.
It is the phone number for the card's customer service line. Tell them you had a call from their fraud division.
Somebody here is outright lying. I called the Customer Service number on the back of my card to confirm and it was varified. I am not lying. You are safe to call the Customer Service number and go through them.
I received a text saying they denied a charge cause they thought it was fraudulent. They left this number to call back. They left the last 4 digits of my card number too. But my card doesn't end in those numbers. I called the number back and when they asked for the last 4 digits of my ss# I hung up. I called chase on the number on my card. There's been no texts they've sent and no activity on my account. Chase said it looks like someone is phishing to get info. Scam!! Beware
There's a lot of argument on here about whether or not this number is valid. I just got a text message and voicemail from the number today, called the number off of the website (not the one that had called me) and someone had indeed tried to make a fraudulent purchase with my card. Call the number on the back of your card or off the website to stay safe, but don't just ignore it assuming that it's fraud or you might end up getting charged for the purchase they were trying to report to you!
Got a call from this # and initially hung up on it. Called back, provided minimal info & as as others have said it is a legit # for Chase and I indicated the one charge they were calling about was fraudulent. I also asked that my card be canceled since there were two other fraudulent charges in the last 6 weeks (not the subject of a call) but previously disputed by me) and a new one issued. When I went to access my Chase account online, that old card # no longer existed. Only Chase could have done that. Quite sure this is for real, although I probably should have called the # on my card.,
I received a call, it was Chase - who provided the last 4 digits of my account to me. Told me to call back at the number on the back of the card when I had verified with my dh about any of the maybe fraudulent charges. Legit number.
I received the call this morning so I returned a phone call to Chase after looking at the back of my card. The number was indeed legit. I was informed that they were attempting to contact me because there were some recent charges that appeared suspicious. I would have caught these on my own but I hadn't seen the charges which were made yesterday. There were 2 charges of $10.88 for something X-Box (don't own one) and one for $12.71 for Netflix (don't have an account), and then there was a $600 charge to a steak house in Chicago. How I appreciate this phone call! Always call the number on the back on your card!
