We got a call from some guy named Paul Gerber, which he made a point of spelling 3 times in a menacing voice. He said that he was going to come by my office and speak with us, as well as contact our bank and all of our vendors. I told him we would make nothing available to him, and that I knew not why someone would hire an out of state PI to check us out. We deal with no out of state companies. It was after I read this I realized it is a scam. DON'T Give INFO!!!Paul Gerber is in California and PA, apparently. Dude, gets around.
I really get a kick out of these messages...You're going to call the cops because they said they're investigating you? Moron. Go ahead and call the cops. I'm sure they'll appreciate having their time wasted.I know this is a radical idea in America today, but I would suggest paying your bills. You know, a little personal responsibility. Maybe it's just me.
"We deal with no out of state companies."Because no out of state company would work with a deadbeat. It's bad for business.
Hello,I am a private investigator that specializes in current, up to date, and factual reports of financial trends based on assets & liability. Many of my findings are a matter of public record. While I may verify active bank account, professional licenses, corporate standing, list out executives, look for property ownership, identify secured parties buy listing out USS filings, judgments, liens, and large lines of credit, I do not access sensitive information like account balance size, NSF history, or DMV records unless I have explicit legal rights.I just wanted you all to know that I work for many parties and am well known for the quality of my work. Don't hate the player, hate the game...Jesse Chubb
I can only wonder how little they cops will be interested in your lack of honoring business commitments. It is a fine line between being a deadbeat and being a thief. Maybe you ought to just pay the bill. Either way my A&L report will certainly expidite any legal proceedings you can expect latter down the road. Don't hate me, I am just the hired help..
Perhaps the bills were paid. Collection agencies do not always have correct information. In fact, they seldom do. If your name or number is similar to someone they're trying to collect from, and they've gotten you by mistake, good luck getting rid of them. And you can report them. If you have asked them not to call you and they do so report them to the Attorney General, not the cops. There are very strict laws by which collection agencies must work. They ARE NOT allowed to lie to you to get information. THEY MUST by law inform you up front that they are a collection agency and that any information collected will be used for the purpose of collecting a debt. If they LIE they BREAK THE LAW. REPORT THEM
But you don't follow the law. You break it. Daily. And so do most of the agents in your company. Your company has one of the worst records for this sort of thing.
First, tell them not to call again. Then if they do, report them to the Attorney General of your state. They have strict laws they must follow but seldom do since most people don't know their rights.
Rec'd the same call except the PI said (to the switchboard) that If I did not return the call by 5:00PM, they would have the PI come to my place of business and take my inventory and shut me down, then revoke my license.
We just got a VM just like this one. So what ended up happening? We don't know of anything we should be contacted by a debt collector for. Do we just ignore it? They are threatening to pull our credit and take us to court and will seize property if needed. We have no idea what this would be about.
