I received a phone call from this number. When I answered nobody said a word and I just hung up, You hear horror stories of scammers so wondered who the hell it is!
I rec'd a call from this #, they left a voicemail. It was Directv welcoming me to my new service.
I'm willing to bet once they sign you up for "3 months", they will keep billing you for it FOREVER! They are just like Crazy Glue!
Lene, Many companies have robo dialers dialing up ahead of their agents. The computer can usually tell from the cadence of the voice or the way a call is answered if there is a real person there ... like you just say "hello" or if your answering machine gets it. This may be called predictive dialing or some other algorithm. They may not wish to leave a message and if there are not enough agents available the call will get dumped in any case.Usually this isn't something to worry about.
This number called me several times this morning. When A message wasn't left i figured it was spam but they continued to call me relentlessly. I looked it up and saw it was a direct tv scam. When they called yet again in the same day it was a very fuzzy call, someone with thick accent, saying direct tv had a really big discount offer for me. I told them I wasn't interested and hung up... 2 hours later they kept calling! BEWARE
Whether this is DirecTV or not, they rang three times and hung-up. CID showed "TOLL FREE CALL". You would think it would have indicated "DirecTV", but since it didn't, I'm suspecting that the scammers are doing this as much as DirecTV is. Doesn't make any difference to me, I blocked the number since I don't want calls from either DirecTV or the spammers.
We cancelled them after a representative got very rude with us - 11 months left in our contract too - ouch! It was our 3rd rude contact with them! AWFUL! We had no problems up until June of this year - switched back to dish - I don't really care for either but so far dish is good....and cheaper.....I don't care what channels I don't have now - I have what I watch......
1. The caller ID does NOT display as Direct TV 2. Direct TV defrauds customer by giving thern a "free" product (prime ticket) then never lets you cancel when the free susbcription period ends3. Direct TV continues these marketing calls even after custromer requests the calls stopin short YOUR WRONG dear "Direct TV employee " who cant use proper grammar and wont give your name
