Ok, I also received 2 calls from the number 800-555-0433 this morning. After checking this website i called the Chase Manhattan switchboard at 212-670-6000. (Got the number on chase.com)I spoke to an operator who checked their listings and the number is listed for several of their employees at the checking division. I also asked to be forwarded to a supervisor who then verified the number was, IN FACT, a VALID phone number for Chase Manhattan's checking division. You can call and verify for yourself at 212-670-6000. Also as said this 212 number is listed on Chase.com.

Probably coincidence. They are telling everyone that/

I have a simple checking account at Chase, it is not overdrawn, and this number has called me four times today.

Just call them back on their 800 number and rack up their phone bill and cuss them out. Eventually they will give up calling you since 1) you obviously won't pay them and 2.) you are costing them money every time you call them back and cuss them out for calling you.

I couldn't figure out why this number kept calling me; then I realized I had an overdrawn chase account and read these messages. It still seems strange though....chase would have to be pretty stupid to send send a confusing message so many times a day to its clients....seems like somebody else has chase users information and is exploiting it. After all, Chase bank did lose all of its members account information a couple years back. Lost in the trash or something. Most ridiculous thing any bank could have ever done. But the point is, it doesn't seem like this could be legit.

And also be sure to call the number on the back of your debit card to verify that there are no unauthorized transactions.

Calls 2 times a day for past week. Leaves voicemail message (which does NOT wait for the beep). I do not have any Chase accounts. Checked another website detailing telephone numbers & they also confirm this is a scam. I am listed on the Do Not Call registry. I file a complaint with the FTC every time I get these calls. I would warn anybody to call the number listed on their statements. Don't trust any postings here stating the validity of the number because if we can state the number is fake, I'm sure "THEY" can post just the OPPOSITE!

I find it interesting that there are so many posts defending this number, which is actually weird when you look at other numbers reported on this website. I wish I could see the IP addresses to see how many are posted by the same people. I read all 11 pages, and some of the positive posts about it (claiming it is legitimate) are even reposted. Smells fishy to me (or more likely phishy).If you get a call from these people, do NOT give them ANY personal information. Thank them for the call and tell them you will contact the bank tomorrow or visit a branch on the next business day to resolve the matter. Then hang up. Then call your bank, login online, or visit a branch and check your account.If they insist that the problem can only be solved with them, and it must be resolved immediately, then tell them you will call the bank today to resolve the issue.If the call is legitimate and really from Chase, they will understand your concern about privacy and thank you for taking actions to resolve the issue. They will even tell you that you can visit a branch or call the number on the back of your debit card to resolve the issue. If it's a scam, they will probably get angry or rude with you, make threats or be more insistent you solve it with them and only only.The real bank just wants their money, even if you call them back at a different number or visit a branch. A scammer is looking for your account information and social security number and other information so they can steal your money, apply for credit in your name, and do all sorts of nasty things.

It is a ligitimate number for chase collections, on OverDrwan accounts and returned Debit and Check cards, if you don't have a chase account simply let them know that its a wrong number to reach that person and the calls stop at the top of the hour like they told me. I also got a letter that had guess whos Mine account number at the top and I was Over drawn. They called me, my mom, and my cell
