It is Chase. I was overdrawn on my chcking account for 4 days. I did give them my phone # becuase they called that. He confirmed my name. Wanted to confirm my address but I would not give that. He asked for last four of my SSN, but I only gave him last 2. He said that was enough and said they were calling b/c I was overdrawn and even gave me the amount that I was overdrawn. Also he mentioned my husband's name is also on the account, which is correct. He also confirmed that the account is currently in good status as I had a deposit today. So, he knew all of my account info which confirms that it was really Chase.
I was receiving calls from Chase that my account was overdrawn. I stopped answering and soon those calls stopped. I then started receiving calls from this 1800 number. Assumed it was Chase and didn't answer. No message. After reading this i assume it is a scam and advise everyone not to give out ANY personal information even if it is just your address. Going to answer and pull the FCC / BBB line. They are calling me every two hours!!!
the following number call me a lot times 1-800-555-0433 please stop. Do not call me back any more.
I have been receiving calls from this number every 15-30 minutes. I had accidentally overdrawn on my account and immediately corrected it once I found out when Chase sent me a letter (which I received a week later after my first overdraft). However, 15 hours later after my account was made positive, I kept getting repeated calls with the weird automatic message. Then I called Chase and they first told me it wasn't their number. When I spoke to Chase again, they said it was their deposit accounts recovery number. Then I called the weird number where the first thing they say to you is "Can I have your name, address and number?" Then they ask for your last four digits of your SS. I refused to give my SS number to the guy on the phone, and the guy said he couldn't verify my account. I told him that I had a right not to give him that information since I don't know who he is and where he is from and for them to stop harassing me. He said they weren't harassing me. Then I said, if you aren't, why are you guys calling me repeatedly today when my account is no longer overdrawn? I asked for his supervisor's first and last name NOW. He put me on hold for a few minutes. Then an extremely rude unprofessional woman called Myesha came to the phone and I asked if she was the supervisor. She said yes very rudely. Then I asked for her name and employee ID number. She rattled it off so fast I couldn't hear her properly. When I asked her to repeat and to spell her name, she seriously gave me more attitude and spelled it out slow like I was an idiot who can't hear. Then I asked for her ID number. Again, she said it so quickly no one could have hear her properly. I asked her to spell it slowly, and she gave me the same attitude. Then I asked for her supervisor's name and telephone number which she gave me. I confirmed with her that he was the lead supervisor of their department. When I asked her WHAT exactly the name of this department is (since they never IDed themselves), she said "I don't know who you are and I won't give you the name of our department." To which I was so shocked (having to put up with her crazy rude attitude the whole time--can u imagine, I was the polite one to her and she had the audacity to be rude to me from the get-go), I said Wow, woman, u have an attitude. Then I hung up on her. This is the kind of people that Chase hires. I have never been spoken to in this way when my bank used to be WaMu. Ever since they bought WaMu, this banking system has gone downhill.
Do not assume that people who complain about these calls are deadbeats. I get them from time to time because my phone number used to belong to someone who didn't pay her bills. I know her name and, over the past two years, have heard from LOTS of people this broad owes money to.Collection agencies seem to have trouble understanding that phone numbers get reassigned, so every once in a while we do another round of calls. If you're polite and reasonable with collectors, they'll usually get it and go away -- until their computer kicks up your number again. If you get angry, they will take that as confirmation that they have the right number and just keep calling.
Recently I received several phone calls from this number. I did not know this number, so I did not answered.
