I keep getting a call and ive asked that i dontbwant solicitation calls they keep calling
If it was not a Chase number, why would getting a call from that number be grounds to close your accounts with Chase?
After them calling my phone 10 times today I called the number back at 10pm and got to speak with a person. It can not be my account overdrawn because it is not, in fact my check gets direct deposited every saturday and i went online and there were no alerts on my account at chase online and my account is fine. The only information I gave them was my phone number and they were asking information that the bank has never asked when they have legitimately called me in the past, and like I said if it really were chase why would they answer the line at 10pm when they would clearly be closed. I told the woman I was not giving any information over the phone and would be calling my local branch in the morning. Something is very fishy about that.
I work for Chase. It is a Chase number. If you have an overdrawn account you will know why you are receiving the call. No need for further argument.
Its not chase. They called me and they started asking me questions so I hung up and called chase and chase told me that it was not them that called.
this is not the real chase number was in the bank today and talk to a representative in person they would send you a letter in the mail telling you your account is overdrawn and warn you that it may be closed if you do not bring your account current so do not answer and do not call back for your own safety it's probably a scam
I got a call from this number last night (Sunday) at around 8pm. My vm picked up, at first it was silent, then an unidentified male voice said "hello" three times and then said "caller disconnected." and the vm was over. This morning (Monday) at around 8:50am the same number called, but when my vm picked up no one was there this time. A lot of people here are saying this number is from Chase Bank. I bank with them and have been for over ten years. Any time I have received a call from them they would have left a message identifying who they are and a brief explanation of why they are calling without giving away personal information. In fact, just to be on the safe side I went online to check my bank account and credit card account. Everything is up to date and paid up. I'm nowhere near being overdrawn in my bank account, and there are no suspicious charges made to either of my accounts with Chase. In essence, I don't buy that this phone number actually belongs to Chase's debt collection department. Assuming I had overdrawn, I would have received a letter in the mail. Out of all the years I have banked with Chase, not once in my life have I ever received a phone call asking me to put money in my account, let alone multiple calls. The bottom line is, I don't think it's a legit number for Chase. I'm just saying based on researching my own bank account. Half the stories on here about overdrawn accounts in combination with the recent Target hack got me concerned. And really, if a reputable bank such as Chase was calling for someone, you'd think they'd be a little more professional than hanging up on your vm and leave a message. I used to work at a call center in customer service. You get fired for hanging up on people's vms.
