Robo call saying they want to lower my rate on American Express--I don't even have an American Express Card. This kind of relentless harassment is despicable.

These people keep calling us and I would like to removed from there call list.

I am 13 and JUST got my cellphone!! They called me and it is an unknown number so I tried to call them back but the line is busy every frickin time!!!! Is there a way to make them STOP calling?

Press 1, make them think you are interested, but drag the call out for as long as you can. When they ask to verify your CC number, dont give it to them, make them read it to you, they cant, cause they are not from and have not recieved any info from any of the cc card companies you do biz with. I kept them on for 12 minutes before they hung up. I got no more calls for about 2 months. They must refresh their list and loose all the ones they flag as bad.If you ask to be put on their no call list, they either will just hang up, or say they will and not do it and call again, some time as soon as a couple hours later, most of the time the next day. Following their prompt to get removed does notheing also.

"Card Member Service". Yeah right. As long as caller ID spoofing is legal, these criminals can act with impunity since they seldom deliver the same calling number twice ... I have a list of 15-20 different numbers this robodialer uses. The Do-Not-Call list is a joke; some of these scum probably use it to generate calling lists.The only solution is for the FCC to require that carriers screen calling ID numbers against the account generating the call, and block call completion if there's no match. The technology is simple, and many switching systems already have the ability (e.g. 5ESS). So put the blame where it belongs; with a government that enacts token legislation they have no intention or ability to enforce, and carriers that are more interested in the revenue they generate than ensuring their facilities aren't used fraudulently.Tell your legislators to support anti-spoofing legislation. Or don't complain.

Another "NEW" TOLL FREE # ?! How and when can we stop them?!

These scumbag scammers keep calling. I guess that some stupid people buy their "services" and that keeps them in business. One thing I think might be of help is to answer and quickly hang up when you see a number that you don't recognize. It seems that the calls stop for a couple of weeks when I do this. Plus, I do report all such calls to the do not call registry even though this government agency doesn't seem to do anything about it.

Offered to lower rates on credit cards that I don't have.A total scam that totally ignores the Do Not Call list.Complaint filed with FTC.

Spoofing is Illegal, unless you're a Government or Police entity. But scammers don't pay any attention to the law.
