I just got a call from this number, and it is a legitimate T-Mobile phone number. I had ordered an item during Christmas, but it was accidentally returned to sender via UPS. I didn't get a refund, and called about it. They just left me a voice mail about issue is resolved, and they refunded me the money.
It's T-Mobile. You call this number for everything--customer service, tech support, updating your information, paying you bill, etc. T-Mobile calls you to offer special deals.
This # keeps calling me and my phone is not T-Mobile and have NEVER had them!I answer and it's gone.
Yup, T-Mobile called me, but a friend asked them to, so he could get me on his plan. Unlimited data forever, as opposed to 5GB per month on mine, but I have yet to use any in the seven months I have owned my smartphone. And you can get unlimited data when you use WiFi. But who knew? So I told my friend, maybe another time. The end.
Why does this sound like a press representative from the company coming out to do advertising?Just the usage of number is a strong impliation. "49.99". Normal people would just say $50.Also I'm no English major but:"There" is different than "They're", which is what you're supposed to put in that context to not look silly.
I just called the number 1-800-937-8991 a recording came on saying "Lets have a good time" call 1-800-464-8900 its a adult phone conversation site or something related. I'm not going to call the new number and use minutes off my limited phone plan. Best idea is not to answer any 800 incoming calls. If its important they will leave a message if it is not they wont waste their time by leaving one. T-Mobile uses 1-877-746-0909.
As of today, I got a couple calls from this number and I did not pick up. However, I am actively working with T-Mobile's tech support division today, having called them to start a ticket -- and after this number called a second time a voicemail message was left. The caller stated he is a technical support person, and he provided info regarding my phone issue that only the tech support people know. He was calling me back to further handle the issue I'm having. Therefore this is obviously a legitimate T-Mobile line, that is used by their tech support people. However, after reading all the reports in here, I am also under the impression that scammers must be spoofing their numbers to look like this one.I've come to decide that it's not safe to trust any incoming call, even if it is coming from a number you know is legitimate, because it could for that very moment be spoofed.
On TV last night, I saw a report about a couple who has a T-Mobile account, who received a whopping bill for a tablet they did not purchase. Supposedly they went to a T-Mobile store to buy it, when they do all their shopping online. This was one of those glitches that happens every now and then. When they called the TV station, they got to the bottom of the problem, and they got a credit and a big apology, plus screen time for the couple.
