Received call about outstanding payday loan from special investigator Larry Miller, docket number TCH1540, if I didn't respond then a restraining order would be filed. First thing I did was google the phone number 803-369-3108 and confirmed what I thought, this is a scam. The message has been thrown away and I am not returning the call.

Just got a call for one of our employees from a "Special Investigator Christy Little" referencing a case number saying she had a pending restraining order for her to call about. I already knew about these being a scam. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS!

These ppl called my mother in laws looking for my husband said that they were private investigators, saying someone was tring to steal his identity. she took their # and we called abut 40 times finally someone answered and wanted 2,500 dollars. same number as all the above. from S. carolina.

I just got a call from John Archer (Johm Travolta's character in the Movie Face Off) It sounds like these people are using the same tactics, that are used by the American Legal Division, that were located in CA, I called my attorney, I was filing a Chapter 13 at the time, he googled them, and did a 3 way conference call, They refused to give him any information, or connect him with one of the attorney's in their supposed office. They like to use names from famous people, I had calls from Adam West (Batman), and several others I can't remember. Even if you tell them you are aware of what they are doing and to Stop calling they continue. If they are contacting you at work, inform your employer, and you may want to contact an attorney, there are attorney's who work on this type of thing..the problem is the addresses they give are usually phony.

I just got the same call this morning from a John Archer..left a message with all these fancy words and numbers and said i had a restraining order against me yada yada yada,,first thing i did was google the number and it brought me here.first of all i'm sure that if i had a restraining order against me (really?) that a sheriff would be at my door step with a subpoena to appear in court. I'm so glad i looked it up before i called....it just about gave me a heart attack! be safe people! God Bless

called my mothers phone and left a message a ms ferrel with a case # KAB1941called back the number no such person that i was ALLOWED to speak withthey have unsuccessfully trying to collect a debt UNTRUEand will show up at my workthis is crazy and i know a scam but how do i explain to my 80 year old mother?

i got the same message yesterday, same person ....

I haave been called twice, 9/12 and 9/20 stating I owe money not paid to a Payday Loan Co.I said it was not true and they wanted me to send them copies of my bank statement to showa deposit with bank number. I said this is a scam and hung up. The second call the man wasdifficult to understand due to accent. Became argumentive, I said I will be contacting the Attorney General and hung up. I have called back the number they called from and it is in South Carolinaand called the office of "Dockets, Liens, & Seizure".

They do this because so many people panic and give them what they want. For future calls from these folks and scum like them: In this country, there is no such thing as debtors prison, and debts are civil, not criminal. Restraining orders are not part of any debt case. And, finally, if you were going to be served, you wouldn't get a call first warning you about it. These people are such morons; they insult your intelligence and scare you trying to drum up a few illegal bucks.
