They have called several times, we are on a no call list. They say this is a follow up to our request, which we never made.
Caller ID said Richmond VA. I was feeling confrontational so I answered. Robo call, the guy said something about Medicare then says he was calling because I had pain in my knees and back right? I said no that's not right. He kept babbling and I hung up. If they call again I think I'll blow a whistle in his ear. Maybe Medicate will help him out with a hearing aid..
They still call you even if you have an unlisted number. They are probably going through all possible number combinations using automated/robo software.
Just got a call from this number. I am getting more and more pleased that I bought a new phone system for my home. Panasonic model KX-TGE275 with 5 wireless handsets at Walmart. It can block up to 250 incoming numbers or whole area codes or area code/exchange combinations. The last number of the model number indicates the number of handsets. You can get as few as 3. Disclaimer; I am not selling these, I do not work for Walmart and I do not work for any company selling these.

I never answer these calls. I know they are scammers. I just type it in and report it on-line.
Legitimate companies subscribe to the The Do not call Registry list and do not call peopleScam artists do not care about it. all they want is to steal your money and your personal information. The best thing to do is just not answer calls from unknown numbers, do not call it back and do not push any numbers to be put on their do not call list. all you do is get annoyed, verify that your number is a live number and end up getting more annoying calls.
Never pick up the phone when I don't recognize the number. However, I always Google the # to see what kind of scam it is this time.

Called and asked me to return call about a musical instrument that must be returned immediately. Got my name wrong as well. Scammers.

Got my name wrong, no where near close to the person they're trying to scam/contact. Call came from North Texas, left no company name, nothing. Shady asf, 888 area code is commonly used by scammers so this may not be legit.

Sent an email trying to encourage people to call Bank of America at this number. As phishing attempt go, this one was better than most. I can smell these things a mile away.
