They aren't using a cell phone. They use VoIP with a spoofed caller ID.

I'm just another person who checks this posting for information but never answer calls such as "unknown name", my own name/ number calling me, etc. (I've wondered how that last one was done). Will definitely look into the call blockers noted by Capt GG. His data was extensive and helpful.

Same...O...same...O... They abuse the DNC list. They actually get your number FROM the DNC list. They call about a back brace. I did not order any such thing or need a back brace. But he might if I ever get ahold of him. Stupid scammer and telemarketer. I wouldn't order anything on line if I was in dire need of it.

Caller ID "unknown name" ... left no message. First call I've gotten from this number. Had plenty of calls from several other numbers regarding a medical alert piece of equipment . Those calls stopped when I finally answered one and got a real person. It was escalating to harassment and I threatened to call whoever I needed to -- BBB, FCC, my State Attorney General's Office to report every number calling me on this product. This caller is probably a scammer.

Been getting calls from this number the last couple of days. I actually talked to someone yesterday. Apparently they find out when you have MEDICARE. Bada bing bada bang. My new phone works good at blocking these A**holes.

I'm receiving the leave no message behind hang up calls as well. I too am unlisted- EXCEPT WITH THE FCC National DNC List (I *knew* they were selling our information) nor have I called about a back brace. However, I've just received information via USPS that I've been "dumped" into the medicare system (5 years early) and it's Medicare who pays for these "free" back braces (as seen on TV). Richmond, VA is one of the areas in which the Fed Govt has saturated Govt offices (I used to run commercial real estate in the DC markets). Thus: Crap, having spent the past two days on hold with SS, Medicare, MassHealth; I've seen an escalation in telemarketing calls. Plus, as we enter another political campaign season I dread the 8 millioin new telemoronica calls which will be generated by from to and for our local, state & Federal Govts.
