1 call DIR ASSISTON (807 Northwestern Ontario exchange) for 2 min $3.94 on October 25, 2015. No such number found when reverse lookup was made with 411.ca. Further inquiry from whitepages.ca turned up a land line, location was at Fort Frances, Iristel Inc. Located on the Minnesota/Ontario border. Called phone provider (Cogeco) and was issue resolved.
I just got my bill from bell and I noticed a charge for long distance the number was 807-788-1246 I never placed a call to this number. I am going to call bell and get it removed from my bill.
I found this number 807-788-1246 on my Bell phone bill. I never called or answered a call from this number. After quite a battle with bell they took the bill off my phone. I called the number for Triton Global and was put on hold and told to wait, eventually the message told me if I had a complaint about this number I had 40 seconds to leave a full message. If this is fraud who do I contact.
This charge appeared on my bill in Dec 2015; we never made that call or asked for directory assistance. Northern Tel reversed the charge this time. I will report to the authorities if it happens again.
Noticed a charge of $3,49 on my Shaw phone bill: "Alternate Long Distance Provider - Triton Global"When I contacted Shaw about it, they stated that: "Generally anything listed as 'Alternate Long Distance Provider' is a call made to a 1-800 or 1-900 number or a number which charges on a per minute basis."As far as I can tell, no one made a call to this number from our office.
I received a portion of a computer-voice message threatening legal action against me or my property if I did not call immediately to rectify the situation. This is very obviously a scam call and we will **not** be calling back. Any further calls from this number will be considered harassment and will be reported to the authorities.
We have been billed $3.49 plus 13% HST - Total: $3.94 for Directory Assistance on Nov. 10, 2015 at 2:30 pm that we did not make.How could this happen? We don't know anyone from Thunder Bay and have no reason to look for anyone or any company there.
