I get these calls several times a day. No message. I am also on the Do Not Call list.Caller ID and an answering machine is worth having and saves time and aggravation.I see the number and just ignore it!!!
Apparently, GSI stands for Gordon and Schwenkmeyer, Inc (Mike and Steve Gordon, Chris/Kris Schwenkmeyer). Similar to others here, GSI has called us several times so far, with never a voicemail message ever left up to the present, and always from their 858-496-210x series of phone numbers or else 858-427-9955. We've been on the FTC's National Do Not Call Registry for several years running. In case the phonecalls GSI increasingly makes are outside of the FTC NDNCR's complaint-enforcement jurisdiction, we may have to seriously consider contacting the local Division of the FBI (fbi.gov/sandiego ), to get further effective action against these borderline-harassment "fundraising" calls. One of GSI's given addresses is 9620 Chesapeake Dr., San Diego, CA 92123, which happens to be a close <1/2 hour driving-distance Southeast from this San Diego FBI office.
they are becoming pests, calling every day, leaving no message, caller ID says CALIFORNIA. Another site shows a posting that they are calling on behalf of Planned Parenthood. Is anybody at all out there dumb enough to actually give money to some unknown entity that makes pest calls to our private residences? Must be, or they would not bother.
Have been on all available do not call lists since inception. This number has called single to 3 times / day on numerous occasions, late hours, over a period of past few weeks. Having found this I will forward to my representatives.
Calls one of our cell phones several times a day. We aasked to be removed from their call list. We'll see......
I think that Charities like this one use the Do Not Call list as a personal phone book. Very annoying. That has been the down side of the list. "Even if your number is registered, some organizations may still call you, such as charities, political organizations, and telephone surveyors. "I've asked them to stop calling...we'll see if they actually stop.
There is some confusion here. This pest is GSI Telemarketing a/k/a GSI, Inc. (Gordon and Schwenkmeyer, Inc), which has calling centers in Sacramento and San Diego. See below for details. This company has nothing to do with the eBay company, eBay Enterprise, Inc., formerly known as GSI Commerce (originally Global Sports Incorporated), which is located in King of Prussia, PA.GSI has been calling here once a day every business day for the last two weeks, no message ever left. Report to FTC and FCC pending."Mike Gordon and Kris Schwenkmeyer founded Gordon & Schwenkmeyer in 1985. Before forming the company, Mike Gordon served as executive director and Kris Schwenkmeyer served as political director of the California Democratic Party. While working for the Party, they developed the expertise to raise money through telemarketing. Since 1985, the company has grown to become one of the largest outbound telemarketing fundraising firms in the progressive movement. Gordon & Schwenkmeyer has two telemarketing centers, Sacramento and San Diego, California, employs four hundred individuals and makes over 600,000 phone calls per month. The company utilizes state-of-the-art predictive dialers and implements a quality control oversight program that is unprecedented in our industry. Gordon & Schwenkmeyer is one of the few union telemarketing fundraising firms in the country. Its employees are represented by the COMMUNICATION WORKERS OF AMERICA (CWA.) Clients include: the Democratic National Committee, Senators Boxer, Feinstein, Kennedy, Kerry, Levin, Mikulski, Murray, Schumer, Stabenow, sixteen State Democratic Parties and hundreds of non-profit and charitable organizations."
