Same thing. Is your computer running slow, 'why yes, it is" . Please go to it and turn it on. "Ok one minute,(long pause)." "Ok I am at the desk" Please go a turn on your computer. "Are you sure? Are you with Microsoft?" Yes, I am with Microsoft, we are a subcontractor for them. "Oh, OK.. Which computer would you like me to turn on?" Just one. " Oh, I have 3100 virtual desktops and 800 Servers, you need to be more specific." Just your computer you are on now. "Well since you people screwed up Vista, I'm not letting a Pakistani, touch my machine." Obviously calling them Pakistani didn't go over well.
Very heavy accented man called to say my computer has been hacked and offered services to fix it. I laughed as I'm behind an F5 Secured VPN. New scam
Received call on my cellular saying windows had detected system errors??? I have received other calls simular.I just hung up.I advise the same for anyone else.
They called me and said my computer id had been flagged and had malware. I asked them what ID number they had and I would confirm it. Norma, with an Indian accent asked if I was in front of my computer and I told her yes, then she asked me to read off my ID. I told her that's not how you confirm numbers. She got pissed and said I was just trying to keep her on the phone and hung up!
Scam regarding errors on my computer. Could not name the computer at issue when asked. Said issue was with Windows. Person had Indian accent and was insistent, so be careful! Complete scam.
