Yeah, its the local jail. I didn't answer than found out it was the jail. My friend was trying to contact me. So it's not a scam :)

This is a number for a company who provides inmate phone calls. I kept ignoring it because I didn't recognize the number and it turned out to be my son calling, he had been arrested. :( He was in San Antonio Texas.

This is a company called Intel-Link, or something like that.They are a company that contracts with jails. The inmates have no choice but to go through them to make phone calls.If you get a call from them, it's guaranteed that the person is an inmate of a county jail. Usually there is a recording letting you know who it is that's calling.If you set up a prepaid account, you get a cheaper price, otherwise, it's pretty expensive

WHERE IS WASHINGTON COUNTY JAIL LOCATED? I LIVE IN NORTHEAST ALABAMA AND I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THIS JAIL.

It's not necessarily out of your state, that company provides service for many jails across the U.S.Could be someone you know trying to reach you, you won't be charged if you answer, only if you accept charges but most times they make you create an account using a cc and after that you can receive calls from the inmate.

It is just an inmate from the pen or any county jail, don't get scared and no they are not trying to scam you. Just an Inmate trying to talk to you, but you should hear a recording to who it is...

Actually this is the national number where you put money on the books for people in jail or prison. You are wrong and rude.

I think they are the same company or it depends on the facility, my son has called from the same facility and once it was telmate and once it was ic solutions.

I received two calls from this number 15 min apart. An automated msg was left both times but it was cut off so all I got was ...press 3 to block calls from this inmate. I live in Canada so I have no idea why an inmate from Washington would be trying to call me. I'm guessing that whoever it is has the wrong number.Still is a bit odd though.

This damn prison called me over 30 times in a single month. in the last couple weeks it has died down some, but i was getting multiple calls a day sometimes. most ridiculous thing ever.
