Just to let you know that you are wrong. The number is connected to Telmate. It is the number that is used by inmates at Kitsap County Jail to get ahold of their family or Bondsman so they can get a Bail Bond to be released from jail. The many comments about this number calling at 3am-4am are exactly that. Crime and jails are 24 hours a day. Most people picked up for DUI are booked in around 3-4 am and find out they have to post bail. I get this call at least 5 times a day. It is not a scam at all.

Admin Edit: "It's a SUSPECT message!"_________________________________It's not a scam, it's an inmate. If you don't know anyone in jail then it's a wrong number but it's definitely a real inmate trying to place a correct call, not a scam.

Admin Edit: "It's a SUSPECT message!"_________________________________The number is from wherever the company that handles the collect call service is located so just because the call seems to be originating in Washington that doesn't mean the inmate placing it is. They could be in a jail in your home town. Next time they call answer it and press the option to refuse calls from that inmate in the future. Or accept it if you don't mind spending the money once and let the inmate know he's got the wrong number. Guys probably having a bad day already.

Admin Edit: "It's a SUSPECT message!"_________________________________I answered the one time I got a call from this number and accepted the charges because I was worried it was someone I knew in trouble. I got connected to an actual inmate, it was just a simple wrong number accident. He apologized and we hung up. I felt kinda bad because I said, "Have a good day!" After I hung up I realized, dudes in jail, I don't think it's possible to have a good day! Oh well. But yeah, it's not a scam it's a real person trying to call you either on purpose or by accident. All jails have contracts through a few different companies for their collect call services so that's why if you try to trace the number it can come back in a completely different state. It's that companies home office but the inmate trying to call you could be somewhere else, like your state.

Admin Edit: "It's a SUSPECT message!"_________________________________All communication from prisoners is monitored however it's illegal for them to monitor a call between an inmate and their lawyer, that's why that option in there. If that inmate is calling his lawyer they have to know so they don't record the call. I'm sure there is an option after that to verify it's an actual lawyer they are calling, but yeah, that's why that option exists.

I'm also pretty sure the Attorney General doesn't care that you got a wrong number call from an inmate. Either hang up or press the option to refuse the call. Or you could be a decent person and accept the charges and tell the poor person that they dialed the wrong number. But then again, it's scary! They might come and get you! Oh yeah...THEY'RE IN JAIL AND NOT GOING ANYWHERE!

Please fix your phone system. Shelly Teel has not been able to get through to my phone. When I answer the phone it says " Phone call disconnected and then it never connects to my phone. This has been going on for a week. Please check your phone system.
