inmate at the oklahoma county jail and i have no clue who is in jail nor do i care the recording was so faint you could not hear who it was.
Keep getting multiple calls from this number all day. I live in New York and the automated recording left on my voice mail is in spanish. The only thing i can understand is "San Antonio Detention Center." The inmate says something in spanish and then the automated recording starts. Must have the wrong number cause I do not know anyone who speaks spanish or lives in Texas. Quite irritating since i have been getting the same call about 5 or 6 times so far today and its only 2pm

I received a call from this # 866-516-0115 and it was a collect call from a company by the name of CellMate. This is not a scam, I received a call from a person that I know that happens to be in Hamilton County Jail. I think this company is hooked up with tons of jails.
Two messages on my home vmail from this number. "Press 1 to accept the call. Press 2 to deny it..." This thread gets me curious who I might know in the county jail!
I worked as a PBX admin for a call center for 11 years. It is not possible to place an outbound call on toll free circuits - i won't post the explanation, if you doubt it contact your telco and they will explain. The reason you see a toll free number show up on your caller ID is because whoever owns the number does their own PBX work and uses PRI circuits - this allows them to program the number you will see as the caller ID, just as though they had indeed made an outbound call on a toll free circuit. The idea is to present to you with the number you should call back. Technically it is a spoof, but it's unlikely to be a scam. But it's also probably not a government entity - as Dawn suggested, it is most likely a 3rd party outsourcing this "service" to the government. The more paranoid among you should be aware that this validates certain aspects of the NWO conspiracy theories and that integrating corporations so closely with government is a tenant of classic Fascism. So if you will excuse me, I need to go make myself a new tin foil hat...
I received a call from 866-516-0115 tonight. It was my son. He was allowed 1 complimentary minute to call me and then a recording informed me how to accept future collect calls from him on my cell phone. He's been in prison for 3 1/2 years and just was transferred back to the county jail from which he received his sentence. He's to go back to court. I appreciate the call, since I do not have a landline, he had no way to let me know he was back in the county. He's in Clark County Jail, Washington State
That # is from the Intelmate pre-paid phone services for inmates at the Oklahoma County jail or detention center as they like to call it. Hope that helps.
