What is going on here? I don't like being awakened at 3 AM with a recording about an attorney and client. It's very scary. I will inform the Attorney General about this at a decent time of day.

Call the # (866-516-0115), and they will tell you, who is trying to call you.If you don't know the person, ask them to block your number.They did it for me...Calls have stopped as of 20 minutes ago...

We are getting calls from this number from our daughter who is in the Calgary Remand Centre. It is ridiculous that she has to call collect from a location that is about 5 kilometres from our house and then we have to pay the inflated rates that they charge for these calls. Jails on both sides of the border must be using this rip off service. I am amazed that people aren't raising a big stink about this.

Canada jails goes through intelmate as well. My baies father made a call while he was in jail for something. It is the only way they are allowed to make calls. I am from alberta canada. Funny they all contract through a US company but thats what they do.

i just had a missed call from this number as well, and the same type of voicemail was left. I live in WISCONSIN and don't know anyone in washington, or in jail for that matter

Actually Fiona, YOU are wrong, he s right. Intellimate is the company that uses this number and they have contracts with 95% of state and federal jails. It is a closed circuit that the inmates call on and the company programs this number to show up on caller ID.

It also comes from oklahoma county jail, oklahoma. I think its if the inmate has to call you long distance.

I think these messages from people with relatives are in jail are fake. If you have a relative in jail, the last thing you're going to do is search online for some unknown phone number. Considering all these "sad mom" stories, here is, roughly, their thought process:"Oh no, my son is in jail. I better google that phone number so people know to give money to this random phone number calling them." I don't think anyone's mental state is to google phone numbers after finding out their son is in jail. What I think is really happening is that it is EASY to fake caller IDs. The scam artists behind this know people will start googling strange and phone numbers that call them. So they start posting to these sites pretending to be "sad moms" with some sob story that you should make sure to spend money when you get the call. No. It is a scam.

I recieved two phone calls at around 3am and googles the number. I took me to this thread and from there I googled kitsap county jail inmate lookup and foud my brothers name on it. He was arrested ad booked for driving without a valid license.
