bs you are lying to people with this claim You get your money for their LEGAL VIOLATIONS and the COLLECTOR/ATTORNEY pays your attorney separately. THAT IS HOW IT WORKS. I
Address isThe Law Offices of Mitchell D Bluhm LLC2222 Texoma Pkwy Suite 160Sherman, TX 75090
They asked for a person in our household. I said that that person had died but I had a son by the same name and needed to know in what regard they were calling. It got very weird after that and he would not answer questions, leave a call back number and just said he was with Mitchel D. Bluhm Law firm and said this was a wrong number and not related to me and that he would block the number.....very fishy!
I got a call and THANK GOD I DID. I had an ambulance bill i forgot about and they graciously helped me resolve it lickity split. Very nice professional people to work with.
9/15/10 @ 8:08 am. This one is new to me. I've never been in an ambulance. I was hospitalized 5 years ago but that was covered by ACESS. They didn't leave a message, and I no longer answer my phone.
Misty one thing to remember is that the Statue of Limitations in most states is 4 years for a debt, once it goes past this, you are no longer liable for the dept. Though debt collectors will try to collect still, simply inform them by mail you the statue of limitations is up and they are not to contact you any further, if they do it is a ventilation of the law. You can contact the FTC and/or your State Attorney General's Office. I too received a call from this number, though never leaves a message, I have been receiving bill collectors call on my number from another people who had my cell number in the past (gotta love recycled numbers). Anyway, if this company or person is claiming to be an attorney they must, by law, give you his/her state bar number and state they are licensed in. If they tell you they do not have to give you this information, turn them into the state bar and attorney general's office in your state and/or the state they claim to be in. Also another point to point out is that you should never deal with a debt collector over the phone, have them first prove to you, that it is if fact your dept. Have them send you information such as the bills of the dept from the original creditor, contracts that they are now the new owner of the dept, and a list of payments (if any) you have made. By law once you tell them to contact you in writing and not to contact you anymore over the phone, they must do so, contacting you again over the phone after you request if a violation of the fair credit act. Also they must with in 30 days send you the information you requested, in this information MUST be copies of the original information such an invoices, bills, credit card info etc, it CAN NOT be computer generated copies. If the companies fails to provide you with the appropriate information you requested, or fails to do it in a timely manor, or again fails to stop calling you after you tell them to stop, turn them into the FTC and the State's Attorney General's Office. Collection Agencies believe they can do anything they desire, and try to scare you into giving them money. The people who have posted on here calling all of you deadbeats or you should pay your bills on time, are clearly collectors, I personally believe it to be rude and very offensive when someone calls someone else names such as deadbeats etc. All in all just remember your rights, follow them and 9 times out of 10 you can get out of the collection mess, if the debt it truly yours, then set up a payment arrangement with them, most of the time they are happy to help, the bad collectors such as this one, I would use caution, and again never set anything up over the phone, always get it writing. Hope this information helps!
Okay I have a problem with hospitals and ambulance services who get tax money and cant and then in return bill there patients , I used to be in EMS , it seems no one can get medical care unless you have good insurance or just plan rich!!! By state law no hospital can turn away a patient in need of care just because they can not pay!!! I have a ER bill from Walton Reginal Medical Center in Monroe , GA and I got a letter in the mail today from this Law Offices of Mitchell D. Bluhm & Associates for a bill of $1,200.00 that I can not pay I have no job at the moment and I have health problems which doesnt look like will let me work again, it is all i can do to afford my medication. GA has what they call Indigent Health Care Trust Fund that is suppossed to be used to help low income people get the services they need, I have it at Northeast GA Medical Center and Walton Regional is listed as having it, I am calling the state office next week on this matter. All people who cant pay aint bad there just not rich like some of you are!!
I got a call this morning. The person they asked for USED to have this phone number. So, there can be innocent people being called. Not everyone doesn't pay their bills. We pay ours but unfortunately someone else who use to have this phone number didn't. They say they are Mitchell D. Bluhm and Associates. But, it doesn't list that on the caller id. It is just listed as a toll free call.
Has it ever accord to you that some people would love to have the money or the insurance to pay for there care !!!! Guess your a rich person!!!! I used to be in EMS and it is a shame a hospital or an ambulance service can sue patients just because they are unable to pay!!! Way the ecnomy is its getting harder for anyone to pay bills!!! Like I said before it is state law that you can not be turned away just because you cant afford care!!! Lawyers are crooked as well as collectors, like I said if the shoes was on the other foot you would feel different there are people who need help who have medical problems that will not let them work but cant get the required help they need this is where the crime is at!!!
