well you need to play the game to win it...and that is by dialing them back a hundred times a day...just keep redialing when your sitting and doing nothing or watching tv...as they have to pay for that charge...so as much as there calling everyone, well then do it back to them...sit there and dial and let it pick then hang up and hit your redial button and keep doing that when ever you can... so that there bill will go up to the point that they will have to stop calling...if everyone does this even 20 x s a day per person...everyday add it up into the millions on there end....they have to pay for it...and see how they like it....and you don't have to pay for the call as its a toll free and your company gives you unlimited calling... so there is no charge on your phone bill..if they can do it to us then we need to show them in number we unite to stop this bull crap of harassment esp. when you or i don't owe anything to anyone and they just get like a pit bull onto your phone number and there taught to be nasty and to do whatever they want. The FTC is who is in charge of this and they need to be reported to. not the BBB as we don't even know the business name to report them and how long does it take for them to look into this issue...dial and dial and dial away...
THE CALLS ARE NOT UNAVAILABLE, THEY ARE TOLL FREE NUMBERS, AND YES, YES THEY CAN CALL AT DINNER TIME, LEGALLY THEY CAN CALL UNTIL 9PM.
Sick of this NCO company. They buy off old debts, whether accurate or not, then harass you forever over it. I know for a fact that I settled up with Nextel before they turned into Sprint. They will not get off my back over 7 years now. Sounds unreal, right? Apparently they acquired this so called collections account after Nextel was already gone. I contacted the new cellular company and they too can see there was a settlement made directly, but because this is so old now there are no specifics. NCO should be sued by everyone so they can't do this anymore. For a few months their caller ID name was falsely showing as Equifax. How illegal is that??? I saved a picture of it as proof until I can figure out who to go to about this. Maybe my State Rep? I pay for my phone number to be unlisted. It should not be allowed that people like this can call my PRIVATE number without permission.Maybe I should buy an auto-dialer and start plugging in their numbers...
Got a call asking me to call back this number. Very suspicious, but curiosity got the better of me. So I called back, got a voice-mail saying that I had reached "Professional Account Management" (which doesn't even sound like a real business name; too generic), and telling me to enter my account number. What account number? I waited to see if it would go through to a "Default" if I didn't enter anything, but it just kept asking.Again, curiosity getting the better of me, I tried entering 12345678 as my mysterious "account number", but it just said it didn't recognize it.Is this some sort of a scam trying to trick people into giving them their bank / credit card account information?FWIW, (regarding the rest of this thread) I don't have any unpaid parking tickets or bills.
I would say, "Think again," but your reasoning seems to lack real thinking. Unless every person in the country calls them "20 x a day," they won't notice. The same equipment which makes it easy for them to harass the rest of us protects them from us.They make mistakes, but if they're calling about a legitimate debt, you should pay it. Wasting time on the phone trying to give them a taste of their own medicine won't turn a deadbeat into an upstanding citizen. Even if it's a legitimate debt, but you want to be irresponsible, the law provides you with a fairly simple and direct means of putting a stop to the calls.Instead of coming up with your own "solution," you would be better served by simply doing the right thing . . . the right way.
