They called me and left a message to call them back and asked me to select option 4.I called and the automated message seems like real chase. be careful....no chase. They asked me about my number and I did not give them but I ended up giving him my social. They he put me thru a automated system to use my atm pin. Now I got alerted. Chase never ask you for pin number over the phone. I hanged up immediatelly. I called Chase and found out that call was a scam.

The whole thing is super shady and I thought it was fraud too, but it really is Chase. Like many others posting here, I got a message asking me to call back, and when I did they asked for so much info (my account number, some numbers of my SSN, then they wanted me to enter my PIN) that I felt uncomfortable. The guy said "ok, I understand, call back the number on your card and they will reconnect you with us". When I did that, the people at the main Chase number said that they had no record of anyone calling me, that there was no reason anyone should have called me, and the girl said "I'm glad you didn't give them any of your info!" But then, it turned out that it was Chase, because they then *returned my mortgage payment* because I hadn't called to confirm that it was legit. I was so angry. They need to get their crap together, but apparently the fraud department works separately from the rest of Chase. They deserve to lose lots of customers from this type of disorganization and causing customer inconvenience.

This is a scam!!! I just spoke with Chase about this matter, and they said it was phishing.

I received a call from this number but did not answer.I looked it up online and saw that it was Chase.So I called the number.We had written a large check recently and they were callling to verify.Went through quite a few security questions (they asked the questions, gave me four answers to each to chose from). They wanted to verify the transaction to release the funds.

THIS IS REALLY CHASE CALLING TO VERIFY A CHECK. I was told they have to ask security questions to verify they are speaking to the account holder!!!!!! All they are doing is verifying a check that could be fraudulent, they need the customer to confirm this information.

I called the number on my statement to verify that it is indeed chase number, the person confirmed it and transferred me to the department. They just wanted to verify if I wrote a check for the number that is much bigger than I normally do. I appreciate it.

Not a fraud. Made a transfer to my other account and they just wanted to verify that i really did make that transfer. LEGIT.

received a call from ID 877.691.8086 and left a voice message that it was Chase and to verify a transaction, etc. I was concerned so called my branch and verified that #1 it is notated on my account that Loss Prevention was trying to contact me and #2 that number is a good Chase number.I called the number back, they asked me my account # and to verify certain public information questions. They then gave me the info of the check I wrote and verfied with me that it was correct. Although it may have been annoying, it was good to contact me, as I do not write alot of checks from this particular account and that is what red flagged my account. So, having been a victim of identity theft in the past, the time spent verifiying this matter is short considering what I went through before. Thank you Chase.

I got a call from this number and the woman said she was calling from Chase to investigate suspicious activity on my account. She asked me to enter my pin number in an automated system, and I refused. I called Chase to verify and they had no record of anyone from Chase contacting me, nor any suspicious activity on my account. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER provide pin or social security numbers to anyone that calls you or emails you claiming to be from your bank. Bank's don't contact you and request this information to authenticate your identity. It's a SCAM.

Yes, this number's legit. It was Chase calling to verify a new type of transaction!
