Calls 2-3 times daily but when I pick up there are only two options:press 1 if are the person we are seeking> enter last 4 digits of SS#> our records show that this SS# is not a match...press 2 to hold so you can go and get the person we are seekingI am not the person they are looking for, but have been receiving these relentless harassing automated calls nonetheless and there is no one for me to tell to stop. Worse the poor chap they are looking for probably has no idea.It's been months and I wish it would just stop.

If you are getting calls from student assistance corporation, that means you have federal loans. Fed loans CANNOT be forgiven in bankrupcy. Simply bc they are backed by the government. you should just take the call.
This Middle Eastern or India sounding woman wanted MY Social on the phone!!! Never give it out. Something is wrong here. Hope any Homeland Security Institution can help, if you are out there??????? I recieve several calls per hour from 8882725543. Just today I recieved them at these times:11:441:2071:131:192:312:36I answered twice and got a dial tone. I see on the internet that it might be Sallie Mae, but do not know. Please help.
I received a call from SallieMae as I am the co-signer on the one-and-only small private student loan my son has, and it was my agreement with him that I would pay that particular loan. I have been making regular payment directly from my bank for over a year. However, he has Stafford loans which are also being serviced by SallieMae, and his first payment was due in July. He is in the process of consolidation and applying for an income-based repayment plan. So, SallieMae made a mistake and applied part of my payment to his loans, which left me $25 short on my payment. They harassed me over $25! The first person I spoke to was a complete jerk. Even though they corrected the payment, he claimed it was not SallieMae's fault and refused to remove late fees. Eventually, I asked to speak to a supervisor and it was cleared up, but not before making me totally ticked off! I googled SallieMae to find out the name of the CEO, and came across an e-mail for the consumer advocate for SallieMae. I sent my e-mail of complaint this past Thursday, and on Monday I had a phone call from a very nice woman who made sure my account was straightened out, and who also assured me the jerk would have this complaint put in his file, and would receive extensive customer service training. She also told me to make sure I give her number to my son in case he should ever have any questions or problems with his consolidation. If you are having problems with SallieMae, and no one seems to be listening to you, please trying e-mail the consumer advocate at advocate@salliemae.com.
