Get several calls a day from them and another company claiming to be MCC, yet both show similar numbers. I do not know which company it is, but I called this number back and was confirmed that I do not have any accounts with them. When asked why they keep calling I get told we will remove you from our system but it could take several days because it is an automatic dialer. She could not answer why one comes up as MCC and yet the other ends up being Sallie Mae. They either hang up by the third ring, or ask me for a Mrs. Green. Never heard of the woman.
same as 317 595 1244 harassing you with calls about student loan - never had one.. keep calling pls stop them. thank you
I would suggest everyone look up the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act. The company can be fined for violating Federal Collection Laws along with the employee who violates it.Remember, if they call you and leave a message it's illegal to contact you again for the rest of that day..anything more than that is a violation. You can also take them to small claims and sue for harassment for multiple phone calls whether they leave a message or not...check your rights!!!!!
Thank you so much for this letter. This will work for a few people who can't seem to get it through their system that the people they are asking for do not live here. Sallie Mae has my information somehow, but I do not have student loans with them.
Also, the Better Business Bureau is a private company that has literally no power. Your complaining to the wrong people. File a complaint in writing with your State Attorney General's Office, also lodge a complaint with your state's "State Banking Department (They issue licenses to collection agencies, Real Estate agencies..some banks..etc) The lodge a complaint with the Federal Trade commission. Once you have done this and these people keep bothering you, file a lawsuit in your county..remember you have to serve their statutory agent not the company!!! Also run them through your State's Corporate Commission to verify they are even licesned to do business in your state, if not, report it to the Attorney General's Office in your state.
Received several calls from this number . We dont have a loan with them. They were stupid enough to leave their email in their message. This is the scumbag's email...orinfo@salliemae.com
Yeah, same as everyone else. I have the number blocked, but every now and then they leave a disjointed robocall message. Just got one a couple minutes ago, all I heard was something about Sallie Mae and that "I MUST call them back IMMEDIATELY" or some such nonsense. Never had a student loan, never had a loan through Sallie Mae.As an aside, it irks me that even though I have the number blocked (so my phone never rings), they're still able to leave messages.
I get 4-5 calls per day from this number--nights, weekends, mornings. They don't say what they want--just that they have "urgent information" for me. They are automated calls, asking for someone with the same last name I have but an entirely different first name. I have never had a Sallie Mae loan and repaid all my student loans over 20 years ago. This is clearly fraud and harrassment, and I intend to pursue this with the FTC, small claims court, and Sallie Mae itself.
THEY KEEP CALLING AND I DONT ANSWER BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW WHO THEY ARE. MY CELL IS PREPAID CELL WITH LIMITED MINUTES SO I ONLY ANSWER CALLS FROM PEOPLE I KNOW. I HAVE ONLY GIVEN MY CELL NUMBER TO A FEW SELECT PEOPLE ... UTILITY COMPANY, DOCTOR, AND FAMILY WHO ARE ALL IN MY CONTACT LIST ON MY PHONE.
