this number calls frequently. never leaves a message or any other info. caller id is always unknown name. obviously not very important.if this is in fact a sallie mae/usagroup "hitman," i have news for them, assuming they read this site, i may owe them money, i may be delinquent, but they are liars. i made an agreement when i set up my account that all negative info would be removed from my credit file and i would received a rate reduction after one year of on time payments. now they are saying they never do either. so, as far as i'm concerned, they are at the end of the creditors and if they never get paid all they think they are owed, it will be just fine with me!

888-272-5543:We got a call on Thursday after New Years about 8:30 in the morning... it woke my wife and I. The caller asked to speak to someone with a different first name, but the same common last name. I told the caller no one lived here by that name and asked who was calling. The caller identified himself as Jeff from Sallie Mae. I went back to bed and within minutes a computerized call came in asking for the same person. I *69 the number and found out it was Sallie Mae.We received a similar computerized call Saturday morning, and again there seems to be no mechanism to correct this problem.

Caller calls, as soon as someone answers with our business name, they hang up.

I am so sick if these sallie mae people. The calls started as soon as I got my new cell phone number. I must have returned their calls a dozen times to tell them that the person they are trying to track down is no longer at this number. The calls stop for a month or so and then start up again. In the past week they have called me a total of 113 times. As I type this I am on the phone with them once again having this number "removed" from their call list. I wonder how long it will last this time.

I get called at least six times a day but they never leave a message.... I work two jobs and am always at work when they do call so I don't even have an opportunity to pick up... But I just don't understand how they ever expect me to get back to them when they don't even let me know who's calling. It's not surprising to hear how rude these people are though... just based on their call log history.

I got a call from them even though I don't have a student loan and have never even heard of these people, and yet they get mad when I don't want to give strangers my social security number?
