Filipino gentleman left fast talking message about a loan servicing company, I have no loans so I'll assume it was a SCAMMER.... Be careful, could just be someone SPOOFING a number and caller id name.

Got a call from this number, didn't recognize it so I did not answer. A message was left, whether computer or live person, couldn't tell, but the caller spoke so RIDICULOUSLY fast I couldn't understand a word of it, even after listening several times. If Sallie Mae, I don't have a student loan from them....graduated college in 1976. :)

SallieMae didn't sell your account. They just changed the name of that part of their business that handles student loans or at least the repayment of student loans. All the same user names and passwords from salliemae.com still work on navient.com and calling that same 888-272-5543 number that has been used by SallieMae for many years will get you the same wait-at-least-20-minutes-and-go-through-several-transfers-to-finally-talk-to-a-real-person-who-doesn't-really-know-how-to-help-you experience that they have provided so consistently for so many years. What a pain. I wish I did not have so many medical bills and such so I could just pay them off and be completely done with them.

Put the number in your contact list, save it and then put it on the auto-deny list, game over, bada bing.

Insulting people when you can't spell is priceless. Assuming a company doesn't make mistakes, is plain ignorant.

If you won't show me your name on the caller ID or leave me a message on my voice mail, actually hanging up before it's triggered, you aren't worth my attention so quit wasting my time and quit calling my house!

I get calls too, from Salle Mae and a student assistance (HA!) firm. The thing is, I filed Chapter 13 bankruptcy and my student loans were forgiven. Now, I know a lot of people and Sallee Mae, too say student lkoans are almost never forgiven. The key word is almost. Is is on my files that SA was included in the filing, with the amount owed, amount paid monthly for five years and shows total amount paid. It also shows a balance of ZERO. Now, my car was the same way. I paid on it, but not nearly enough to pay it off entirely, however the balance showed ZERO and I received the car title in the mail shortly after the case was closed. Incidentally, there was a fianl heariing where my lawyer and I both appeared in Federal Court to see if anyone involved objected to this bankruptcy being closed. No one else appeared and the case was closed. Theey say they never received anything. I think these callers from Jamaica are trying to rip me off. Any comments?
