THESE SHMUCKS SENT ME A COLLECTION NOTICE SAYING I OWE 55.00 TO AN INSURANCE COMPANY. I HAVENT BEEN INSURED THRU THIS COMPANY IN A YEAR. NEVER HAD A CONTRACT WITH THEM AND HAVE NEVER GOTTEN ANY NOTICE FROM THEM IN REGUARD TO AN OUTSTANDING BALANCE. I AM A DEBT COLLECTOR AND KNOW THE FDCPA LAWS. I CALLED THIS COMPANY AND THEY DID NOT GIVE ME THE MINI MIRANDA, THEY NEVER VALIDATED TO WHOM THEY WERE SPEAKING, NOR DID THEY ID THEMSELVES AS A COLLECTION AGENCY. JESSICA IRIZARRY WAS THE COLLECTOR WHO ANSWERED HER SUPERVISOR IS JEFF BROWN. I WILL BE FILING A COMPLAINT W/ THE FTC ANS WELL AS THE ATTORNEY GENERAL FOR THE UNLAWFULL COLLECTION PRACTICES. THENK RECEIVABLE MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS IM GONNA GET A FAT CHECK FROM YOU!!!!!
These people keep calling, but don't leave a message. I finally called them back and some woman answered. I asked why they were calling and she asked for my phone number. Next thing I know she says she can't find any information for my phone number and I said... well then why do you keep calling me. She said it might be a mistake and then said goodbye and hung up.
Me too! They are calling me for a Sprint debt that is clearly someone elses. I've told them that it isn't mine and never has been (my guess is someone else with the same name as mine is out there since mine is very common) and they are trying to extort some money from whomever they can. Not to mention they said the debt is from the year 2000 on one call and 1997 on another call! They have called me 4 times and each time i've told them to stop calling me per my rights and they still call. I will be getting a big fat check as well! Time for people to start standing up for their rights. These collection companies are ramping it up and now they are slipping up left and right with people from what I read.
We received a call at our home number from RMS about 2 months ago regarding an invoice we supposedly owed through our business - which closed 12/31/08. It was for insurance through Travellers, which we had let lapse since we knew the store would be closing. We even have a cancellation notice from Travellers. However, RMS is saying Travellers sold the debt to them. Travellers can't or won't verify whether this is accurate or not.Anyway, we have requested that RMS send us backup in writing at least 5 times now. We have started calling them every other day to get this info. They supposedly mailed it to the business address - which (as I mentioned) is closed, when my husband specifically told them to mail the info to our home address. When he asked them to fax and mail a copy, they told him they could only process one backup request per phone call. I've never dealt with a collection agency before, but this seems like some sort of scam. When we finally receive written info from RMS, we plan to hand it directly to our lawyer.
This company works as a contractor for a number of insurance companies, usually relating to disability coverage.Disability RMS is an unscrupulous firm hired by insurance companies for the primary purpose of finding reasons NOT to pay claims. They are as callous and ruthless as they can possibly get.In addition to their claims delay and negate tactics, R.M.S., as part of the way they are compensated are given premium payment information by the respective insurance company. By LAW, in every State I know of, life and health premiums have at least a 30 day grace period. R.M.S., falsely (and illegally I might add) tells people they are responsible for their premium to cover the grace period unless it can be proven that the insured gave the insurance company a minimum of 30 days termination notice. The only way to R.M.S. to stop their harassment is to write a formal complain to BOTH your State insurance regulators and the respective insurance company. Personally, as an independent risk manager and broker, I also recommend boycotting any insurance company that contracts this scum. Some of the insurance companies companies that I do know using this outfit are as follows:Principal Financial GroupOneAmerica (formerly called AUL or American United Life)UNUM/ProvidentAEGON Companies (including Monumental Life and Travellers)In addition, there are many large, self-insured companies that use this firms services. Remember, the only real reason Disability R.M.S. exists is to get insurance claims denied for ANY reason. If your fighting the unscrupulous collection tactics of R.M.S., you probably can fight this through your State authorities without getting a lawyer. However, if you are fighting a disability claim, you may have no other choice but to obtain legal counsel.
I received a call from this collections company, it comes across as "Anonymous" and "Private Number". It was a man in India who was obviously at a call center. They asked for the owner or accounts payable manger of the company and when I asked what it was regarding they said it was a private manner.

These insurance companies KNOW this is illegal, but since the client terminated THEIR services, this harassment is their retribution they take on the the client. This is true for all life and health insurance policies (unless there are self insurance issues or special Section 125 obligations). The insured is under NO obligation to tell a company they've been replaced or their services cancelled. Their website was interesting!"We employ predictive dialing and have automated calling campaigns to ensure more solid contacts with your debtors for a maximum liquidation of your debt. "
This company mailed a form stating a senior family member owed something to ARRP for cancelled service, wrong AARP number on statement. ARRP said no money was owing and that my family member didn't have that service.Scam beware do not let elderly send money to this outfit. They tried to get banking information also.I called them and told them I knew they were a scam and would be turning them over to law enforcement. They said fine.
