bKETTY smith is right. For first time ever I got hit on my debit card, 3 charges of $50 and 2 for $125 at two different Walmarts. Gave case # and man said they will send me a new card. Week later, I haven't received anything. I called my credit union and woman verified company Falcon as their debit card monitoring company, and she sent me an affidavit so they can refund my $400.00 Don't know why I didn't get one after the initial call though.
Not sure if this company is legitimate. They say they are working with the local credit union I belong to, but that seems rather suspicious. Folks, make sure to check with your bank first.
I received a call from this number and it totally sounded non legit as the person had a hard time pronouncing my name. They then again asked my name. I immediately hung up and did some research. After I was convinced that they were legit, I called them back and sure enough.. They were calling on behalf of my Credit Union regarding some purchases on my CC. They verified some purchases and unlocked my card.
I did not answer this 888 number but googled and found mixed results here in this page. I called my bank directly and turns out it was a legit call from Falcon. I made a purchase from an out of state vendor at a concert and that sent a notice to security. I always recommend calling your bank directly and being safe, but they connected me in a threeway call with Falcon to confirm my purchase. So.. yeah not a scam.
As has been pointed out MANY times in this thread, this may or may not be a legitmate number but because phone numbers are easily spoofed, it is wise to NEVER take such a call at face value. What may be "valid" for you may not be for the next person receiving a call from this number. NEVER give a caller personal information. ALWAYS hang up and contact your financial institution directly.
Left voice mail saying they put my credit card on protective hold. I didn't return the call, but I call the bank directly instead. The bank confirmed this was legitimate.
Received a call from this number and did not answer. Checked online and saw this website. Called the credit union twice, just to be sure and I used 2 different numbers to do this. They acknowledged it was from a private security company called Falcon which monitors for suspicious cc activity. Called the number 888-918-7313 and found out someone tried to use it in another state.
It's a scam. I received two calls from them. My credit card is via my credit union and has nothing to do with whatever company this is supposed to be.
got a voicemail from a man, was really hard to understand, especially when he was saying what the company name & card was, however his call back number was easy to understand. Was he purposely trying to make it hard to understand so I would "fill in the blanks" with whatever bank or institution I thought it he was talking about?
I got a message saying to call this 1-888-918-7313 number and a case number saying there might be fraud on my Visa card. I was skeptical thinking it might be a scam after reading all the responses here. So I called my bank directly, and went through to the Visa card fraud department that way instead. They had the same case number that the guy gave that left the message to call 1-888-918-7313. Later found out that the 1-888-918-7373 number and message about fraud on my Visa card was actually legitimate. If ever in doubt, call the bank directly and get to the bottom of it that way. But from my dealings, the 1-888-918-7313 number was real.
