yes - this is legit - they caught fraud against my cards twice - was able to cross-verify the 888# and the fraudulent activity on my card using my credit union sources (tele# & website) ... 2014 & 2016
The number belongs to USAlliance. My credit union: BECU uses their services for credit card fraud monitoring.
The call was from my bank (fraud department) -- checking on fraudulent activity. Answer calls from this number. They caught a bogus transaction early and are replacing my debit card. Not a scam! One of the good guys (finally!)
After reading other posts, I feel obligated to add that they never asked me for any account info or personally identifying info. They had several transactions to confirm, and all were legit except one charge for $0.00 for Federal Express in Houston, TX. That was the transaction that sent up a red flag. This was NOT a scammer.
This is a fraud protection agency for Credit Unions. After I received a call from the , I called my credit union and they confirmed it. They caught charges to my card for over $600. Glad they called.
Totally legit. Called them a few times, got hung up on and was scared that i had given information i shouldn't have, so i called my bank and turns out they were totally legit. Account got locked out by visa services.
were 100% sure this is legit because you called your bank and checked them out? But you then took the time to look up the number to be sure anyway? Doesn't sound like you are convinced to me. Especially since they kept hanging up on you, what legitimate business would do that?
I received a call from this number on my cell phone. I didn't answer it. Then the same number showed up on my land line phone. ( I must have a land line for a medical alert service for a member of my household ) I called my credit union and found the number was legit. Someone had gotten my credit card number and was using it. I live in Texas. The charges were made in another state. That card was immediately cancelled and I wasn't responsible for the charges.Anyone saying this is a scam might just be a con themselves.BTW....My credit union is called Quorum so this Falcon service IS used by multiple financial institutions.
It's a real number to a fraud detection company used by credit unions including Lake Michigan Credit Union. Someone attempted to use my card in Iowa and Florida and it was declined because they didn't have the correct expiration date. Yes, the lady who called seemed iffy and unprofessional, so I called my credit union directly. There was attempted charges on my account that were declined, and those do not show up in your account. If you get one of these calls, call your credit union fraud department immediately, as this means your card was used or had attempted use.
