They are the stupidest agency ever!!!!

The same number called me again I don't know what he wants I do not like that number calling me and hang up in my ear and that person is really rude and he needs to stop calling that person is a complete stocker

Here's what you do! I'm in the same boat as some of you, I ran away from some bills and now it's coming back to bite me in the [***]! I screwed up, I KNOW. They finally tracked me down not too long ago and I told them I'd make monthly payments. All of a sudden this Claudia Wilson started calling me day after day. Finally I had enough. I found out, even though here in Alberta they have the right to call me from 7 am -10 pm 5 days a week, that you send them a HAND WRITTEN letter with all your info (name, address, accnt number etc) and let them know they are only to contact you through the mail. They MUST abide by this!! Also, make sure you keep a photocopy of this hand written letter too! When I sent the letter I forgot to photocopy it so I'll have to send another one. Paper trails aren't always bad! I sent them a hand written letter and now they call me via a messaging service. They leave a message and when I check it it just rings and takes me to a voicemail. So now when they call me, I pick up the phone and hang it up. This is borderline harassment! You do not have to answer these calls! You may owe them money, but that does NOT give them the right to harass you and be ignorant to you over the phone. I must admit I did call them about a month ago and left a very very vulgar message, I was seeing red! Seriously, they have absolutely no reason to call me unless I miss a payment.

You are despicable... you think that you can just disregard the importance of completing a contract??? thats why you'll stay poor and stupid... you have the mindset of a career debtor and no moral character

MJR has been calling my cell phone since late March, in the past week and a half (as of the time of this post) calling a total of 29 times (I've been keeping a log of the date and time of each call, along with whether they left a message, or any action I may have taken).I answer some, but the calls disconnect almost immediately, and not once have they left a message saying how to call back, or any other kind of reference information.After three faxes asking that they stop calling my phone and communicate by mail (this is more ideal because of work), they continue to call with the same frequency, and at this point have been reported to the provincial regulator, because 29 calls in less than two weeks is very seriously pushing on harassment. Next step if they continue is reporting to the police in the event that regulators consider it a breach of contact limitations, or things get worse.

Did you know that there is a statue of limitations on unsecured debt. Once two years has passed with no payments they no longer can take you to court. Collection Agencies threaten with legal action etc in the hopes you will send in a payment . Should you send in a payment the clock starts over and once again it is two years from last payment. have you ever heard of the Ontario collections Agency act R.R.O 1990? I work for the Ontario government and i see the hard time the agencies go thru, its illegal to swear at debtors and the collectors are ALL surprise audited, especially with this recession and the influx of debt, Im part of the team that infiltrates and internally audits these agencies and you know what? its the debtors who are blowing up. collectors who blow up and swear at the people they speak with on the phone lose their jobs. Pay your bills people!
