In Canada- It is not a crime to be poor. No matter the amount - no collection agency will take you to court. The must file, pay cost. Even if they win, how are they going to get their money, if someone lost his/ her job. Only Revenue Canada has the right to garnish wages, take you to court. Not these idiots from the collection agencies.Again, the laws differ in the USA, collection agencies can and will go after anyone for over $500.00, have the right to take away if nothing else ( Your cloths) to sell at auctions.Aren't you happy you live in Canada.
this number has been calling many times a day for months now and every time I pick up it ends the call on me...What can I do to report this?
How much did you pay for the deliquent account - Used to work for one, they paid 10 cents per dollar.In the end, I was lucky with my smooth talking to get commissions from the collection agency $2,500 plus salary.What a ripe off, The accounts that defaulted eg. Credit Cards, recieved insurance coverage amount then they resell it to you " F---- nice people" But never give that amount back to the Credit Card because it's now yours.You never tell this to people, do you? Don't think so, because you'll be out of a job.You can't do this in Dubai, you know what happens to you there!
