Not Much I don't think after two years of harassment .. I guess you could start breathing a little easier

They always call me inspite that I blocked thier number like 20 times... They want to collect the dept that is not mine ... I am a victim of true name fraud... and I already explained it to them but they always bug me ... I have no time for this crap ...

Anybody who is smart emough to find out who owns mjr or the names and home phone and address of the employees email me and I will call them twenty four seven, and I will even drive to their home and tell all their neighbours what kind of pricks they are, just email me with the information,stanleyhall@hotmail.com yes thats my name and I will phone them twenty four seven, and since I have many other friends that are retired they would be pleased to phone twenty four seven to see how they like to be harrassed at their homecheersstan

even then if you cant pay and they want to put you on the street they still loose .. cant get blood from a stone

I work for MJR, i don't usually agree on how the collectors associate with clients, but you guys have to understand if you used your credit card you do have to pay it back. Word of advice, if you are nice to them and not give them attitude they will be respectful back, as of the new year we are no longer allowed to yell or be disrespectful, because if we are our lisence will be removed....If we leave you a message call us back and we will try and work some sort of deal with you or a montly payment plan etc... Also we are located in Mississauga and we also have another office in Markham.... Good luck to you all!!

threatening them doesn't work because they are in the business of threatsfairness is an outmoded conceptyour best bet is to contact the Consumer Protection Branch (or the current department) of the Province of Ontario after you have obtained the contact name, phone number, firm name, firm address and the file number from the people calling you.Whether it's a phone call, a fax complaint or a mailed complaint there's a good chance an officer will act on your behalf to get the matter resolved.However, there is one hole in this formula. Collection agencies not only buy accounts from original owners (eg: credit card companies) but they also sell debts to other collection agencies. So it may happen that your circumstance will be resolved with the assistance of the province yet will recur when the file goes to another collection agency.There is no guarantee it will. Warning it may. So keep your notes, fax copies, emails prionted out, phone numbers, names, etc, etc. Just in case

Maybe YOU should have some respect and stop talking down to the people who are posting here like we are children. You dont know why we are in this situation and yes some people do receive these calls for absolutely no reason other then they have a similar number to the person being sought or someone may of even gave a wrong number on their application. I know I have a reason to be here on this site. Your reason is? Do you not have anything better to do then search out websites to belittle people that are probably going through times a little tougher then you? Get a life! If you heard the way that the MJR collection agency talks to people then you might understand our frustration as they dont have any consideration for the circumstances that caused us to get here in the first place. Sounds like a good job for you! Lets say it again; Get a life!

I got a call from the 407 about a 12 year old bill. It took them 12 years to contact me and wanted $450 from me or my license would not be renewed. Sherwin Williams paid my 407 bills but the car was registered in my name. Then they sent it to mjr. The 407 said if I paid $85 it would be lifted. How did it drop nearly $300 with a phone call. My lawyer said the 407 falls under the same statute of limitations as everyone else. So now I am starting a lawsuit against mjr and the 407 for harassment.

I realize that I am in debt, I have had student loans out the wahzoo as I had to put myself through school to better myself. I have a good job now but it's part time hours like most jobs now. The calls I have recieved the caller harrasses me by saying ' I'm sure you can get some money from friends or family...what about your parents' blah blah I even explained my father had passed away and he figured I could ask my widowed mother for money 'there's no excuse for your debt'..I can't even afford rent plus food and I am a single mom trying to better myself. They can shove their rudeness up their [***]!
