I let the answering machine pick up. It was a recorded message asking if we wanted to purchase a medical alert tag. Then said the press #1 if we wanted to make the purchase.
We recently joined AARP. Since then there has been an uptick in the number of these calls we receive. I am positive they sell their lists. Also there seems to be a lot of shady advertising in their publications. I suppose they have to fund those conventions somehow.
UGH they got me! I was trying to handle some other business, the phone rang and I saw "HILL CHRISTOPHE" in the Caller ID. I didn't see the out-of-state area code and thought it was a (local) customer. Robo call, saying "Hi! This is Todd from the Fulfillment Department!"Fulfill *this*, Scammer Todd. *click*Grrrrr.
Google Voice said caller hung up on challenge. Typical for Telemarketer scammers. Will block.
This number has called us enough that it's been blocked. But yesterday was the first time it had a name on the CID. I haven't answered these calls but I assume it's like all the others.
They called but I didn't answer. They left the following voice mail:"You've been referred to by a friend or family member. We have the system waiting to be shipped out to you press one now to receive your personal medical alert system again press 1 now to receive your personal medical alert system press 9 to opt out."
Rang once and hung up. Caller ID said: Christopher Hill. Not the first time I received this call.
They left a message saying I had been referred by a friend to receive a Medical Alert and to press 1 for this and press something for another option. That's when I blocked this number!

Yes. The caller claimed to represent Document Delivery Services and threatened to serve me with papers from a fifteen year old debt. A check with my local County Clerk’s Office revealed no evidence of lawsuit filed.
