Got a call on my cell phone with the automated message that my credit card is fine and to find out how to lower rates. I pressed several buttons to try to reject the voice recording - but it started ringing. When the guy answered the phone he asked if I wanted to lower my rate. When I said no and to please remove my phone number - he simply hung up without saying anything. When I called the number back - it's not in service.

Keep getting calls from this number...Won't answer...anymore...just trying to get credit info and lowering interest rates. it's just annoying knowing that you are on the donotcall list and it's not working.

Recived several calls from this number wish for them to cease.

Have received a couple of calls from these jokers. This number shows up as a "cell phone" in Ca.They claimed they were calling on behalf of visa/mastercard and I was fed the same line about them wanting to lower my interest rate. Trouble being that I don't carry any credit. They were silenced by that.

I have heard you can use *67 before dialing the number

it depends on your carrier. for verizon, you need to go to their website, then click on parental controls and follow the instructions. it's only good for 90 days, but that's usually long enough to get whomever is calling you to get rid of your number. you can also build it into most phones under the security section. you can allow all calls, allow only those in your address book or whatever.

received a call on 060911 at 1320 hrs. it was the same thing as others are reporting....."this is card member services. there is nothing wrong with your account. we are calling today because you can lower your interest rate. do you want a lower interest rate? dial "9"......." and that's where i hung up on them. i don't trust anyone that calls me and i won't give them information. that's how scams continue to be successful. if you didn't place the call, please don't give them any information. get their company name and if it's a company you do business with, check for a phone number on your own paperwork and call them back. if it's not a company you do business with, then come to one of these number reporting websites and report them so others don't get suckered! we've all got to fight back together!
