I had a feeling this was a hoax call - no identifier. How many people fall for this? I have had an unlisted number for years. I am on the do not call list. We have had a number of weird calls lately. I go to the phone number on line and read that people have been called than have no credit cards! I went to find the name of the company, and find this.
"cardholder services", press 9 to speak with .... This is a credit card scam, they want your CC info. I told them I would have to call them if they wanted that info and they gave me the number for Visa cardholder services (an automated voice response number to report a lost card, etc.)
I Keep getting calls from these people as well. I ask the representative to remove me from their list and they just hung up on me. Extremely frustrating!
This nasty bunch at 916-301-4406 will not stop calling. Even when told not to, they still start soon after. This has been going on for a long time. Today asked to speak with a supervisor, got several clicks and they hung up. Reported them to the FCC. Won't do any good. So keep reporting them people. Maybe possee out to location and rip out their phones and put them in jail for a while might help.
I to received a call from this 916-301-4406. I was unable to pick the call up before it disconnected but when I dailed it back I received the same "this # has been disconnected" message as previously posted here. Since this wasn't the first time this # had called my home, as indicated on my caller-ID, I decided to google it to see what was out here about it...Thus here I am. My number has been registered with the DNCR for years and I just recently converted my landline over to a wireless system which may have let it get picked up or it could just be from random dailing. Either way it doesn't matter at this point. What does matter is that WE ALL MUST PULL TOGETHER and do as I just did and as Paul suggested, FILE A COMPLAINT. This can be easily done through the FTC "Do Not Call Registary" website. Unless we complain through the proper channels nothing will ever happen to these jerks and their games and scams will continue. Please go file your complaint, lets put a stop to this now.
I got a call from this number. I didn't get to the phone on time so I called them back. The recording said" we are sorry, this number is not in service" How can it not be in service when less than 2 minutes of getting a call from them I called them back. I got out of a sick bed to call these people. Normally I wouldn't have bothered about even checking the number, but something seemed strange.
They left a message on my home answering machine. Something about succeeding at weight loss. I don't answer calls where I don't recognize the name or number, even if I am home. Thank heavens for answering machines and Caller ID!
These calls are a bad nusance, where is the Don not call people, they are paid for doing something I wish they would do it.enough is enough
another way to just "ignore" those calls on a cell phone is to actually add them to your address book, with a name like z1telemarketer (so that it comes at the end of your address book, and not "in your way") and then set the ringtone to silent. that way you can just ignore the call... hope that helps. I have verizon too. wish they would build a feature to block....
