I have these people calling me too, I'm on the do not call list. I never answer them. I've never had an account with Wells Fargo. Very creepy. I get someone local calling me too and I'll answer and they don't answer they don't even hang up they keep calling back too. I had to complain to the phone company, which even has a unknown caller block feature but I don't think it works. I still keep getting these calls.
We have received calls for Becky S. Shaw. No one by that name lives at the address of the phone number. It is a land line. They try to and/or do leave messages. If they listened to the recording on the answering machine they would know this. We do not want any more calls from the source of the call.
I would suggest calling the number back and telling them that Becky S. Shaw is not you. If they are a legit agency, they will stop calling you. Try that. Otherwise, if they don't get a response, they are just going to assume they have a legit number for her.
Based on this, I called them and asked if they knew my social. They asked me for the last 4 digits and then they told me the rest of my SSN. So...I guess that means they're legit?
It's States Recovery calling to collect a debt and pressure you to rob Peter in order to pay Paul. They will stoop so low as to force you to make a 3 way call with them, you and a representative from your bank. NOTE: They will tell you they can only hold your account in their office for a "limited amount of time" and if you make a payment arrangement with them, look out. They make take double out of your account as they did with me. Furthermore, if you make a payment arrangement, they will call again to see if you have more money as an "update". Oh yeah, I forgot....I called once and a representative told me they do not accept money orders (yeah, right) and I will tell you, you can pay on their website. They will not mention it to you. Ask for your account number and Pin to pay online. I hope this information helps someone else as I had to dig deep and find this out on my own.
Update** On Wednesday I called States Recovery and told them to debit a payment from my account. Do you know they just called me asking if I can pay more. Ridiculous!!
I recieved several calls a day from this company. When I asked for their address and the account number that they have on file for me, they refused to give it to me. Then I asked if I could talk to someone else and they were just so dam rude that I hung up on them. They demanded that I pay all of 922.00 that I owed./, I told them that I would" HAVE TO SET UP A PAYMENT PLAN AND THEY SAID THAT THEY COULDNT ACCEPT IT. But, earllier someone else stated that I could set up a plan. They keep calling my job and harass whomever answers the phone, we are not to recieve personal calls I could lose my job over them.
I got a voicemail from 1 916 631 7085 asking for a person "Hollie Ann Pearson" about a year ago over and over. I was to call 1 800 211-1435....finally I did. sitting on hold, finally a person answered. I said to TAKE ME OFF THIS LIST. I am NOT Hilly Ann Pearson! 8 months later , the robo voice mails started happening again. I had to repeat the call to get these incessant voicemails from happening every day. WHY ?? Are there people out there stupid enough to pay $ to some robo company ? GO AWAY States Recovery systems in Rancho Cordova Calif. You guys are a joke. I don't even HAVE a wells fargo account. OH....when i asked WHY they are going after someone named Hollie Ann Pearson the reply was "It is strictly confidential". yeah right bud.
