To Whom it may concern,RE: Calls from this number (916)631-7085 I received calls from this number (631-7085) As well as my family and friends, including my Priest at our Catholic Parish, With false allegations in regards to me. Who ever calls is firm and making it sound like I'm in trouble or a gangster, That concerns my family and friends. When the call is answered, it's always silent, no one says anything. When dialed back there is no reference to anything and or they'll say the phone number is not active or in service. I would appreciate it if this all stops!Thank you,Caron Vaughn.
I agree! They keep calling me about a debt that I don't owe to them! I will report them to the Better Business Bureau. Thanks for the insight!
I did have an account with Wells Fargo I returned my RV. I followed the instructions for pickup 3 years ago and I am getting these calls with no person on the phone! I will connect with Social Security Administration. In the last 6 months I have had unknown person taking money from my account, I bank with Bank of America. Its time to make a change and soon. Thanks for your information.
These people are funny. They are trying to collect a debt from me. It is 10 years old, I probably owe it, But when I asked to show me an invoice of what I owe (so that I could pay it) they said there was none. I told them, "do you think a judge will make me pay something you don't even have the original invoice for. or anything that show I truly owe the money?" They told me I still have to pay. I told them I will see them in court. They sai they would report to my credit. I told them if they did, I would sue them for all they are worth. because you can not prove I owe the money. SCAM! They still call till this day. I have a log. So keep calling me if you really want test me.
LMAO....I just gave them the Dept. of Justices phone number after they called wanting a good contact number!
You must not understand how collections works. If a first-party lender or company holding your debt is unable to collect within a set time frame on your debt, it gets SOLD to a third party collection agency (like this one that is calling everyone). This is so the first party can still collect some funds toward the bad debt and pass it off to a company that is dedicated to collecting only. Your social security number is something they can legally have as it allows them to report to credit bureaus on the status of your defaulted debt, and is information YOU provided at the time you initially requested the credit line or loan.Your entitled stance clearly shows you don't understand this in the slightest.Welcome to your debt, sir.
States Recovery calls my dad repeatedly, numerous times a day. They are calling to collect a ten year old debt.
This may seem bizarre as people assume debts roll off credit reports in 7 years. However, it actually depends on the type of debt and how it was reported. It took 12 years to get a debt off my credit report once, because they were still reporting it as an active account despite it having been closed and paid off years earlier.Likewise, medical debts have a shelf-life of 10 years so if it's one of those they can pursue it.Likewise, bankruptcy does not resolve 100% of debts most of the time, contrary to popular belief. If you're still getting calls on it, it's likely that it's a debt that is still being reported active on your credit report and was not one covered by bankruptcy. Therefore, they have the right to call about it.The best way to resolve it is get a free copy of your credit report from the 3 main agencies and contact them directly to file a dispute on the debt. Once it is resolved on the credit report end, it should be much easier to stop the calls.(No, I don't work for them, in fact they are calling me a bunch too. I did, however, used to work for a collection agency and understand how it works)
