After numerous calls and both of my numbers, I told them to remove me from their list. Just got a messages, with a computer generated voice that said, "DIE".
I've benn getting this calls for a week now and I've been ignoring them. Any time I get a call from some number I don't know I Google and that's how I found this site. So far they haven't left me any message.
I just got a call from them. Same guy with thick accent telling me that my computer had downloaded something from visiting a website. I asked him which computer. We spared for a little bit and I told him that how was I supposed to know that he wasn't a scammer, He wanted me to get on my computer and go to a specific file. I let him know that I would have my local tech support look at the computer and I didn't need his help.
I just got the same call. I told the man with a thick accent that i did not believe him, that I thought this was a scam, and that I would report him the the authorities. I really couldn't undetand really what the heck he was saying, but the whole thing didn't smell right. The gist was that I am supposed to have a problem with something donwloaded to my computer. The only question I have is whom do I report this to. By the way, I have a Mac.
Scammers, I managed to waste about 45 minutes of their time before I told them I didn't have an internet connection. They promptly hung up.
Just got a call from this number. The caller id said California. I do have friends and relatives in California and though I didn't think it was them I answered it anyway. There was a hesitation on the line like when it's going through an auto dialer from a solicitor. When the guy came on the line he had a foreign accent and I could hear people in the background like at a call center. He asked for me by my last name and at that point I knew I had a spam or scam caller so I pretended I couldn't hear him and hung up. Glad I did after reading other people's experiences.
Scam! Do not listen to this person! Fraud just trying to get access to your computer. Just hang up and tell them to never call again.
I keep getting this call that they will fix my computer because of a virus. I keep telling them there is nothing wrong and I hang up. They have now called me 4 times in the past month. If you call the number back, there is a recording that says the number is disconnected and not working!
Fake Windows tech support calls. Kind of creepy - they seem to call within a minute or so after I hang up from talking to someone. Could they somehow monitor my phone usage???
