Just so you know... a telephone call can not directly impact your computer. As long as you didn't do anything the dude said (which I am assuming you did not, since, you said you did not pick up the phone) your computer problems are not related to this in any way.

Just got another call from them, I get one a week normally. Always someone with an India accent calling from a call center that auto dials for them so it takes two hellos before they answer. They have never mentioned Microsoft or any company in particular to me, I think because that is breaking more laws, but they always say they are calling from my IT department regarding my computer running a Windows operating system. Once I said, "I doubt that since you aren't my IT Deparment and whatever you are selling I'm not interested." He hung up. Next call, "That's funny, I didn't call my IT department and you don't sound anything like them." She hung up. The call today, "What company are you calling from?" Reply: "I am calling from Brooklyn, NY . . . [original intro statement again]" I said, "I understand that but I would like to know what company you are calling from and your phone number." Very long pause and then she hung up.I'm starting to have fun with this and may have to think of a fun way to mess with them next; pretend I'm believing them and all. They may not call back after this last one though, got myself black listed for asking too many questions.

I received calls from this number, told him I was not interesrted and hung up, I received four more calls from that number but did not answer them.

You can call block this number, I did and it worked.

I just received the same call. Telling me that my computer was at risk because he could see I had alot of error messages. When I asked him how could he possible know what I did on my computer he asked if it was on because he needed to clear all errors or my computer would crash. :( WTH !!!

I have been getting calls from this number daily to two or three times daily. I do not answer these calls because I had heard in the past that these are bogus numbers.

After the caller tells you to turn on your computer, he will tell you to push Ctrl Alt.... DON'T DO IT! Avoid the tempation of even turning on your computer... If you are a talker like me, have fun with these annoying people. Talk with them about everything in the book except for computers. For example, talk about fleas, lizzards, sand, worns, rats, water, snow, etc., trust me, this will really piss them off.... :+)

Kept getting calls from 999-910-0122, so after reading this site, I answered their call and it was a foreign accent guy with spill about computer. So I use my heavy foreign Asian sounding fake accent to laugh at him and call him dirty names and all kind of crap thrown back at him about his body. Got him really mad, then I asked why he do this because he is loosing money by the hour and calls stopped. What can he do but just keep calling back and costing him time and money for nothing. Tell him that and then laugh at him. Best thing was to throw back the same insults to him and just laugh, laugh, laugh at him and his small manhood.

In the last few days I have gotten a call from 999-910-0122 and the block function will not work for this phone number. People calling never say anything. Last time they called I just didn't pick up. Very annoying. Wish there was a way to stop this.
