i live in montreal...caller called himself Paul Smith,from Windows...(not microsoft) should have been Paul Singh...saying that they had reports from our computers having problems while browsing..very had to hear, and lots of talking in back..i said, strange, since we have had no alerts on any of our 3 computers...i told him i was fixing supper and if i could call back, he insisted it would take a few minutes...but eventually gave me thefollowing..1-206-201-2349 very quickly...when asked, said it was in Ontario...no such code there.i pressed last number and it was 999-910-0103..

I received a call from 1-999-910-0122 and the person with a very strong accent told me I had an issue with my Microsoft computer, I wrote down the number and informed him I was filing reporting him and filing charges.He hung up.I have a private party looking into the matter.

I love it. They give India call centers a bad name. Maybe bad enough that businesses will think twice before sending their jobs offshore.

Ive never answer their call because I figured if they don't leave a message is not important. It's getting very annoying, because we are receiving call from them 7-10 times a day! Even on Saturdays!Anyone knows of a website to report and or stop these calls?

Wow, just thought I'd check and see if anyone else was getting calls form this number. Interestingly I was getting urgent calls on Skype with an automated message telling me that there was a serous problem with my computer system, and that I had to act quickly or face a crash where I would lose everything. Something like that...It was annoying and happened 5 or 6 times a day - and sometimes 3 times in a row, back to back, esp if I picked up and hung up immediately. Finally I put a block on the caller. Now I'm suddenly a couple of days later - and several times a day - getting calls with no messages left from this same number: 999-910-0122. I don't answer any calls that I don't recognize - and have come to realize that if it's important they will leave a message - and if not they are either debt collectors or scam artists. Anyway, after finding this page I am pretty certain it is the same group - both on Skype and calling me now. Appears that since they got blocked on my Skype account, they are now calling the listed number. Definitely seems like a scam in operation!

so is this related with Skype? Because I also keep getting the notification urgent call on Skype. Very annoyed.

This is American Express , quasi collection agency, doing skip tracing. They pretend illegally its a third party but rest assured this is an Indian operation working for Amex. Also working for Nationwide Credit. Report all this to your Attorney General and in Georgia as well where they are located, write letters. Also report this to the FTC in Washington and to donotcall.gov
