got a call from them this morning. Very heavy accent, I could hardly understand what he was trying to say. He said he was an authorized service for Microsoft Windows and that they were receiving mulitple errors from my computer. I asked where he was calling from, he stated Brooklyn NY. I said, "You don't sound like you are from Brooklyn!" He mumbled something that I could not understand. I demanded a callback number numerous times. He would not provide one. I told him he was a scam artist and don't ever call back. Let's see if I get a call from them again. I have been receiving between 5-10 calls everyday.
Got two calls yesterday and two this morning, hung up on them, the man had accent from India, sounded like a Boiler Room operation, lots of talking in the background. He said I had a Microsoft computer virus, but since I am using a Mac this is an obvious fraudulent call!
This was a credit card scam of some kind which left a recorded message that I've heard several times before over the last couple of years asking me to respond by pressing a key which no doubt would have taken me to a live person to continue with their baloney operation.
this number calls all hours of the day, usually no one there, only once some was there, told them to stop calling they hung up. they continue to call. it is very very annoying
I`ve had 7 phone calls within the past 2 days from that number telling me I have virus problems on my computer that they needed to help me resolve. Because I could hardly understand the India accent I asked for an American to talk to then they hung up on my.
They called on Friday, Sunday and again today. Their accents are so strong that I tell them that I can't understand them. This just seems to piss them off. I told them I knew they were lying about being in New York. Finally one admitted to being in Bangladesh. One of the guys was really rude and asked how old I was. I asked them today what company they were calling from and he said "Happy Software." He refused to tell me his phone number but said that he would tell me at the end. I told him not to bother because he was a scammer. I checked online and that software doesn't have anything to do with malware. I will go ahead and report on the DNC registry since they keep calling me on my personal line.
