Received a few calls 9999100122 with a women's voice. nothing else. Just hung up. Now getting more callsI do not answer. My answering machiene is just asking to leave a message.Will see what happens tomorrow?I know this is a scam.
Eastern Indian sounding male stating my computer is in serious issues with Micorsoft. That they keep getting error messages. Then he asked..is my computer on? Etc. I said I could not understand him and if I could talk to someone without an accent. I finally hung up.
this is the second time i have received calls from 999-910-0122a few weeks ago on a weekend i got almost 20 calls on a friday and saturday, i did not answer them as I checked the validity here after donotcall said the area code is an invalid US area codetoday i have received a call every 20' from 10AM to 6 PM and they hang up when my voice mail kicks in or when i tried to answer oncei now just let it go to voice mail and they hang upyuck, what a nuisance to sy the very leastmy advice is to not answerthey do come back...
I have recieved 6 calls today and it is very annoying. I did answere one call and nobody was there. How can I block this number?
got a call from this # in the am, didn't answer, looked it up on here. About 11am get another, listen to a indian guy's speech about how my windows computer has a virus and malware, roll my eyes because I have a mac, and say "Is that so?". The guy promptly hangs up. An hour later I get another on my cell, didn't answer it. 1pm he calls again. I decide to have some fun with him. He gives me the same speech as before and I interrupt it by rattling off some german."auf deutch?" He pauses for a moment and says "yes,ok,madam?" I stay silent for about a minute, then COMPLETELY loses his accent and says "hello?" omg! do they have people pretending to have accents here??? I say a few more gibberish sentinces in german and he hangs up. Hopefully he figured I could not understand him and took me off his call list : )
Try speaking gibberish or if you know a forgin language that will work too. I tried that and have not heard a peep from them since. I know it sounds silly, but give it a try. Don't speak a word of sensible english. Hope this helps-good luck!!!
Got three hangups today. Annoying. Thanks to others from this site so I know they are F*K*D UP.
Same thing happened to me. They had been calling me every day for the past five days - most of the time I didn't pick it up; the few times I did there was nobody on the other end. Curiousity got the better of me today so I picked it up and got the Indian (or was he Russian) guy on the other end saying (in horrible English) that he was "calling from Microsoft" because they have been getting "error messages from my computer for quite a long time."I told him not to call me again. Besides, I have a Mac!
Been getting calls for 3 days now, every frickin hour on the hour..... Im gonna try speaking my really really broken dutch with them maybe i'll have some luck like the others...... this should be OUTLAWED!!!!!!!!!!! oh yeah I thought it was when i signed up for the do not call list...... guess not..... :(
