These guys called me 10 times on my business phone. SO, the last time I answered as Ricky your local cocaine dealer in a very thick spanish ghetto accent. . I just kept asking him how much Cocaine he wanted to buy and swearing in Spanish. "Hey Es..Aaa. we got fine blow! How much Cocaine you want to buy? This is Ricky your direct connection to Columbia! No cober charge any time. How much cocaine you need? We deliver up to 20 kilos express. How much you want? Hey mon you Indian! Oh Chit. Hey bendayho! We got a deal for YOU! We got great [***] indian discount prices. You haven't flown a carpet until you fly on Rickie's Magic Carpet Dust. How you need? Hey you Indian! We got great deal on Hashish too, straight from Michoacan today. One hit from this chit and your carpet won't land for 3 days S.A. Yo yo yo wait a minute....sssssssssssss ya dis is some grt [***] man! What was your name again?" Gee I wonder why they do not call anymore? :-)
I had the same issue so i googled and posted the following in a similar forum/thread:PLAfulKatt4 h 15 min agoI just received a call from this exact number and exactly that an thick East Indian Accent telling me my PC was infected. You'll be happy to know I kept him on the line to argue some more and even told him he should call back in a hour so he can speak to my boyfriend who will put him in his place, that and he is even more technical than I am (see we both work in IT) When I asked him to please confirm with PC - he replied the one you use in your home... Really? which one would that be? (we actually have 7-8 computers. He said its been infected and doing this for weeks (note he never confirmed WHICH PC) FUNNY I saw, we have been out of town for about a week and a half and all computers have been powered down and not connected to the network. He changes the story and says months, ironicallly we havent had much PC action in the house since we own some MACs and the only PCs are company issue and locked down.Since he could not valdiate himself (which i pointed out repeatedly) and he mentioned my IP was transmitting blah blah blah I asked him to please verify the IP and give me the MAC address of the "infected" PC, he mumbled (really hard to understand him) something my gateway and SSL, and that I would get that from the Level 5 Microsoft Engineer. I said should you not be able to give me this info to validate who you are? I was getting quite heated in my conversation as despite my pushback and pointing the flaws in his story he was ultimately speaking to me like I was stupid. SoI finally finished with "You can call back to speak to my boyfriend as he deals with all our technical stuff and he can put you in your place." Lets see if he actually does.Caller: Unknown NameReply !PLAfulkatt replies to PLAfulKatt4 h 10 min agomy apologies on my horrendous number of typos ! was in a mad rage and obvously forgot to check it over!Update at 4:53 PM (In Mississauga, ON BTW - he just called back! boyfriend is not home so I did not answer. Once he let the guy know he had him, and fooled him, he became angry. 115.187.58.21We will be reporting him to the authorities. Its been fun. Really these people should learn to understand when the individual on the other end just happens to be smarter than them.Caller: UnknownUPDATE reported to info@antifraudcentre.ca
Have received numerous calls from 999-910-0122 and do not want to deal with them anymore. Take me off of their call list please.
Have called our house about 12 times the past two days, almost every hour from 8am-3pm. Answered about 6 times, and only got someone to talk once. Typical Microsoft computer story, asked what company she worked for and where she was located, but she hung up when i asked for an address.
Thankfully, after a few calls from this number, which I hadn't answered, I saw this page. So, when they called me 20 mins ago, i answered. "William" did his spiel and I said "Oh goodness, thats not good! Which computer is it?!" He said" Your home computer ma'am" to which I replied, "which one?? we have more than one. I'm sure you can see that, right?!? He hung up... I also attempted to report the number but it kept giving me an error code.
I have previously answered and told them not to call this number. They didn't call for about a 3 days but then yesterday it started again....7 phone calls in the last 24 hours...they wait for it to go to voice mail and you get a recording with a bunch of background noise...I actually answered twice and no one talked to me on the other end of the line.
I continue to get unsolicitated phone call from this phone number, telling me about computer CPU problems. She continued to call even after I asked do not call any more.
I am having the same problem - can't file complaint to FTC donotcall since it is not a valid area code. Can anyone help in terms of how to stop these calls?
