These people are a scam. Real bother. They keep calling but we are not answering. Will report to Do not call list.
Called with Indian accent claiming to be from Microsoft. They claimed they had received "error"messages on my computer. It smells like a scam.
Just had a call from this number after I complained to Citi Bank in India about there lousy service orregarding the information that I received. The customer service people there say "everything is fine" just like customer service in computers "everything is fine", Never have I received the correct information. Bring all customer service home to USA!
If you received calls from this number 999-910-0122 or the likes with a rep (Indian accent) stating something to the affect "Microsoft...error message on your computer" tell them to take you off of their calling list and HANG UP. THIS IS A SCAM!!!! I repeat "THIS IS A SCAM". File your complaint with www.donotcall.gov
From what little I could understand from the broken English conversation, this bunch is requesting payment of $110.00 to fix, for a year, the computer problems (VIRUS) resident on my compyter. I declined and hung up assuming some sort ot a scam. These folk called me 10 times yesterday, and 6 times thus far today. Called Verizon to see if they could do a block....no, but lady there suggested filing a complaint with FCC. (877-382-4357), and I did.Hope it works.Jim
This number called me at least 11 times yesterday, and three times today. An Indian named Ricky and a female Indian. I have told them to stop calling me three times, and this last time I said that I would call the police if they call again. Don't know if threatening them helped, and I wont really call the cops because I'm sure there is nothing they can do, but I hope this stopped them calling.I'm getting the same story as everyone else. An Indian claiming to be from microsoft. Really freaking annoying!! if they were really from microsoft, wouldn't they leave a message??
This #, 999-910-0122, keeps calling relentlessly. I told the guy to STOP...he started laughing and said, "Never!" I told him I was recording it as it's a law if someone asks to be taken off the list then they must do so. He continued with his sinister laugh and stated that he didn't care if I was recording it and they won't stop...it got ugly, I hung up, he called back, I screamed something and hung up; he called back again but I didn't answer. I called my phone service and reported him and the # so they put a block on it. They also advised to call the police and report it since he was harassing me and threatening me.There needs to be stricter laws and these people should go to jail!
Same here, Indian guy I could barely understand, telling me I have a virus and my computer could crash at any moment. Very persistent, stayed on the phone w. me for 6 minutes while I wasted his time. I told him he was a scam and I would report him, but he kept talking. Def noise in the background. He did know my name, I guess that's not so hard. Funniest, he was the worst tech support guy ever, he told me to look at my screen, confirm it was my normal screen, then look at my keyboard, then look for the "C", "T", "R", "L" key, then... you get the picture. I just kept agreeing as I watched TV.
They kept calling over and over. I finally asked to speak to Supervisor- "none exists" I was told.I finally told him I was recording the call, and was going to turn him in, unless he took me off of their call list.He never spoke- you could tell he was scared. Best tip: "Officer, this is the call I'd like recorded by the police". Works every time! They never call again.
