I have seen in one of our newspapers (SK, Canada) that there is a telephone scam going on where a person asks for remote access to your computer to try to fix Microsoft problems. From reading the comments here I think that this must be the offending phone number. They called 4 times yesterday and 4 times today. Twice today I answered and hung up right away to see if they got the hint. But no, they called back within 15 minute and 30 minute intervals. So, taking the advice of another poster here on this forum, I used a "Coast Guard recommended" signal horn to give the caller a blast. Let's see if they call back again :)

I received a call from this number a few minutes ago. I did not answer and they did not leave a message. My laptop is now having an issue of opening some websites. I'm trying to open the Do Not Call website. Thing is, my laptop was running fine before this call. I want to report these idiots!!

they just called here (manitoba) at 10:30pm claiming "my licence has expired" but my astute mother knew instantly it was the same scam, recognized this dumb woman's voice from the last time yelled at her to never call here again or she will call the RCMP and that was 20 minutes ago, they havnt called back

Having the same issue. This number calls SEVERAL times per day; starting 2 days ago. I have answered 3 times just to 'see'. When I do, however, there is no one on the other end. When I let it go to voicemail they don't leave a message. At least this isn't just happening to me. But it is annoying. I have registered my number with the DoNotCall.gov to see if that helps. If these people are illegitimate however, I'm not sure this will help.

They have called 5x's today. Once when I answered a women said hello then put me on hold w/music, then disconnected me. Second time was a lot of noise after I said hello and then I was disconnected again. You can't call this number back as its invalid, nor can my phone service block it, it comes up invalid. I reported it to the Do Not Call registry.

I'm gettings calls from this number too!!!! just wondering, where are you guys from? I'm from Quebec Canada and I know nothing about ''Do Not Call'' I called my phone service and apenrently there is not much they can do about all this... HELP!!!

I got several calls from them..an Indian woman with the same story, when I said stop calling or I will call the police "Susanna" told me to "shut up" and that she would "call me anytime she wanted to"I am on the do not call list already...what good does it do?

AN INDIAN MAN PHONED ME FROM THIS NUMBER THIS AFTERNOON, SAYING MY COMPUTER HAD A VIRUS AND HE HAD TO FIX IT FOR ME. I'M NOT SURE WHAT EXACTLY HE WANTED TO DO, BUT I TOLD HIM THAT MY COMPUTER WAS WORKING JUST FINE. HE INSISTED THAT MY COMPUTER HAD CONTRACTED A VIRUS SEVERAL WEEKS AGO AND THAT IT NEEDED FIXING. I THEN ASKED HIM FOR HIS PHONE NUMBER SO I COULD CALL HIM BACK AND HE SAID THAT THEY WERE NEVER ALLOWED TO GIVE OUT THEIR PHONE NUMBER. SO I TOLD HIM HE WAS A SCAMMER AND I WASN'T AN IDIOT AND I HUNG UP. HE DIDN'T CALL BACK

Just got a call from this number. I knew it was a scammer, so I played along for a few minutes. She (with Indian accent) insisted that she had several messages from my computer saying my computer was infected and I needed to turn my computer on immediately so they could log on to my computer and "fix it." Told her I knew she was trying to scam me and I was going to call the police then hung up.
