Got a call from this number. It's a scam. Don't answer.

Just received a call from this number.. Man with a heavy accent.. something about he was calling from Washington, DC and I was eligible to receive $9000.00.. I asked him if he realized he was calling my cell phone, and I was incurring a cost for this call , therefore he was violating the TCPA.. He hung up..

I received a call from this number on my cell. There was a male operator stating that he was calling from the US Federal Govt and I had qualified for a $9000 grant. The gentleman spoke with a heavy accent. I asked him where he was located and he gave a Washington DC address. I then told him I Googled the number and know that he is not legit. He immediately hung up. I called back and got a recorded message stating the caller is not accepting calls at this time.

Received call from 202-210-0054 to my cell#, Thursday, 4 Apr 13 at @:26 PM CST, my cell set to only ring if caller's ID appears. It didn't! This caller has phoned me more then a few times and my wife's cell# too! We are both very upset as we are on both LL & Cell Phones DO NOT CALL LIST.Not sure but believe I did report this caller's number to the FCC, but have heard nothing back.

Received a call this morning from that number offering me $9000, if I give them my credit card no. I offered to give them the number as 666 GO TO HELL!

"This is a call from the US government and we want to give you $1,000 dollars. You probably want to know why we want to give you this money, right?" I hung up on this lady and would like to report this fraud. There are tons of other people who have reported this same number over the last year or longer which begs the question why it is still freely calling and scamming people??? Please shut it down.

Received a call from this number and my husband did too. I missed the call and no message was left. He picked up the call on his phone and it was just muffling noise. From what I read on here, these people sound crazy! Sounds like they are doing rounds on Minnesota numbers this week. Sad that they are out to do harm :(

received call from this # have friends in DC and made mistake of calling back (no answere) which probably just put me back in the loop again.......another scam to watch out for is area code 333-333-3333..do ya think!? Any suggestions as to who to report these calls to inorder to stop or catch?????

got called and the just hang up. it also said Washintong DC. I tried to call back and the call just kept dropping. Then I saw online that it is a scam, and it seems they call people radomly.

Same story. Hesitation before the caller answered. He had a thick accent and said I was the one he wanted to speak to, but didn't know my name. I said I didn't know him and he didn't know me so he had the wrong number. He continued on to tell me he was going to give me $9K. I told him I wasn't interested in Nigerian scams and he proceeded to say "lalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalala". I hung up and blocked the number in my cellphone.
