Same message. Male, thick Indian accent. He became quite angry when I said that I was not interested.
Just received a call from this number and this lady had a very thick accent. She informed me of a grant and I immediately told her I wasn't interest and hung up.
A woman with a thick accent called me telling me from this phone number and said that they were calling me from the federal Grant department, I had $9000 of grant money I would not have to pay back and that after a quick verification process they would deposit it into my bank account. The reason I was getting this money was because I pay my bills on time and have no criminal record. She repeated it twice and I told her that was very hard to believe and asked where she got my phone number, she said from the treasury department, I told her she can send me a check if she wanted to but I was not going to give her my bank account information and she said ok thank you and hung up. like wow people fall for this stuff??
Just got this call...woman with heavy accent...said she was from the US Government and wanted to give me a grant that I wouldn't have to pay back....I've gotten these scam calls before, so I was curious to see what else she would say. She told me I was getting the offer because of my good credit, lack of bankruptcy and clean criminal record. I asked her how she knew that I didn't have a clean criminal record...I was preparing to weave a tale about my murder convictions, etc... but she hung up on me. Oh well.
Received this call from a male with a thick accent informing me that I'd won a $9000 government grant. I questioned how he got my number and informed him it was my cell phone and I had not authorized him to call me. And that I had not applied for nor did I want his grant and hung up on him.
Rec'd the call just now. Same promises made.I said the Fed Gov sends me a check or card without requiring any information. When they said, "This is a once in a life time opportunity, don't you think?"I laughed and said, "Ha ha, other than politicians, the government doesn't employ sales people!"Call from DC, sounded like they were from the raunchy side of India.UNFORTUNATELY...there's not a darn thing that we can do about these ridiculous calls.
