Couldn't understand a THING this joker said. I just wanted to hear his/her/its B.S. pitch before I hung up but I couldn't even hear that.
It was a guy with a thick Indian accent saying that I had been selected for $9000 grant. I told him that I wasn't interested, and he basically yelled "why I am asking you are not interested"? I just hung up. I decided to call the number back to see if I could get anyone, but I said that the caller was unavailable at this time...lol!!! First of all, the United States Government does not call you!!! Second, they would say Federal Government, not United States Government!!! Third, if for some crazy reason the Feds did call, I'm pretty sure the person calling would not have a thick [***] Indian accent!!! And lastly, the Feds ain't calling from no damn cell phone!!! Oh, and don't let me forget that I sent a text calling them F'ing Scam Artists, and it went through!!! Just beware of this BS!!!
I received a call from this effluvium at 12:49pm today. I normally have a bit of fun with these parasites but I was just not in the mood today. I let Mr. Number block the call. I’m thinking of adding this number to the exceptions list so that I can waste their time just as they are wasting mine. Just for grins I tried calling back with VOIP and Skype. They are too cowardly to accept a call back.
Caller keeps telling me that my fiancée has another wife and son, blah, blah.......
Received a call from this number today - caller had a very thick accent, not good English, and said that I would be receiving $9,000 from the government. I could have it directly deposited into my bank account. when I asked which government they said the United States Grant Department.I am sure this was a scam trying to get my bank information.
The exact same thing just happened to me. The caller finally said "hello" but nothing else. I asked, "Can I help you?" When I got no response, I hung up.
My husband and I both received calls from 202-210-0054. He did not answer. I did, but stopped the call when a voice did not immediately respond. Always a clue that it is a robo-call! Weird and a reminder to just not answer calls from unrecognized numbers.
Same thing, grant for $9000 but mine wa a male with a thick indian accent. I told him nice try but its not going to work on me, and hung up
Just got the call from the "US GOVERMENT" Telling me I was selected to receive $9000 because I was a loyal citizen. After going through the steps on how to receive my money, they needed to know my bank account or a credit card/debit card number. After thinking about this for a second, I asked "How do I know that this is not a scam?" The guy on the other end of the line with a heavy foreign accent said in a really loud irritated voice "THIS IS NOT A SCAM! THIS IS NOT A SCAM!" Then he hung up the phone.
I received a call from 202-210-0054 but fortunately I did not answer. From my Google search, it appears to the scam # reported last year. From the recent messages posted, the callers are trying this scam again. No message left and when I tried to call back, I could not reach anyone. I have saved this as a "bad #" in case they try call back. Fortunately there are plenty of warnings in Google about this scam!
